CBQ Spotlights

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [April 9, 2025]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Francine Doyon from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 6 years smoke-free! A lifelong smoker, Francine broke free after joining the CBQ Quit Smoking Program. She hasn’t smoked a cigarette since.

After 6 years she said she’s “still smoke free and loving it.” That says it all!

Francine’s tip? Start small.

One of the exercises in the CBQ Quit Smoking Program is to delay the first cigarette of the day using mindpower, not willpower. That exercise was precisely what gave Francine the “aha” moment that she can succeed! And she did!

“The best thing I did was delaying the first cig of the day. It helped my mind realize that I could abstain from smoking for 8+ hours. Eventually I made it to lunch, then after dinner and then just before bed. Eventually i felt so sick having just a few drags it was easy to just go for the full 24 hours and I never looked back.”

Inspiring Success

This week CBQ Program member Jess Pagano from Australia celebrated 6 months smoke-free! Jess, who’s in her 30s was an avid smoker since her teens. She resolved to take better care of herself. To keep that promise, she tried to quit many times with different medications, NRTs and cold turkey but nothing has ever worked.

“Every quit attempt I felt sad, isolated myself further and further from my smoker friends, and felt like I would never enjoy life again. There was always something that made me relapse & I knew I needed to find answers to these issues, so I started researching and found this program.”

Once she joined the CBQ Program, she made an important decision: to make her success a mental priority. Making her success a priority didn’t mean pausing life. It meant not compromising on her goal to be free, for that would allow her to show up fully in every other area of her life.

This is what happened:

“I realised that previously I was getting too caught up in the future and not taking it one day at a time. This time I took it one exercise, experiment and lesson at a time, and made sure that I maintained my empowering mindset using affirmations that I repeated to myself every morning and night. I also allowed myself to take the time to spend on myself. This meant that I gave myself the time and mental space to complete the program so there was no excuse to stop – this was the priority! And I am so happy that I made it the priority. “

Jess succeeded 6 months ago and she knows this time is different. Why? Because she’s a happy non-smoker!

“I honestly can’t believe it. It’s never been easy for me before. The power of the mind is incredible once you learn how to use it!”

CBQ Program member Jess Pagano highlights the power of the mind

Jess’ tip: take it one day at a time

“Yes, I am still enjoying my smoke-free life and very thankful to you guys for a life-changing course!

I can’t believe I’m nearly at 6 months! When I originally completed that form, my 6-month date seemed so far away that I couldn’t even think about it. I just kept focusing on 1 day at a time and now I’ve blinked and it’s here!”

CBQ Program member Jess Pagano's tip: take it one day at a time

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Evelyn Neiman Green from North Carolina, US, celebrated 6 years smoke-free! Evelyn was a smoker for 40 years. Her husband also smoked.

As Evelyn told me herself, she had tried to quit before using nicotine patches and e-cigarettes but she always went back to smoking. Her husband went from smoking to vaping and still does both.

That’s how Evelyn knew she needed something different: a process. She joined the CBQ Program, did every step of the process and broke free from nicotine even though her husband smokes. 6 years later, Evelyn is doing so well she even forgot how long she’d been a non-smoker! She also found the right diet for her, and has improved her life in every way! Incredible story!

Happy “Spotlight Day” and happy April!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Glenn Gregg from Georgia, US, celebrated 6 years smoke-free! After a lifetime of smoking and many failed attempts, Glenn was skeptical that anything could or would work for him. For decades, smoking was all he knew.

But this all changed after joining the CBQ Program 6 years ago.

Glenn completed the program and succeeded!

This is Glenn with his CBQ Success Certificate:

6 years later, Glenn is still a happy non-smoker and doesn’t even think about it. A lifetime of addiction gone!

(Isn’t that amazing?!)

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Marina McClay from California, US who quit smoking a year ago, on April 1, 2024!

This is Marina’s advice and the biggest aha moments she got from the CBQ Program:

“I am 63 and started smoking at 13. I quit on April 1, 2024. The CBQ program taught me that I can re-wire my brain, that I can separate my identity from my behaviors and that I have the capacity to rid myself of the mental addiction I once believed would be with me forever. I learned that I smoked to fill basic emotional needs, like variety or connection, which then trigger craving thoughts. I learned how to approach craving thoughts with mindfulness rather than battling them with willpower. This experience has also taught me to be open to learning new skills and to seek help when I can’t do it alone.”

CBQ Tip of the Week by Marina McClay

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Program member Anthony Epping from Iowa, US celebrated 3 years smoke-free! Up until 3 years ago, Anthony never thought he could quit because he had tried everything. In his search of new quit smoking solutions, he came across CBQ. In his own words, “I did the webinar and understood the concepts being used and debated if I could just do it on my own. I decided to purchase and glad I did. I do not think I could have done on my own. It was/is the exercises that brings those concepts home, plus this group is so supportive.”

Anthony went through the CBQ Program, at his own pace, and succeeded! He told our community that the “Program is worth every penny!” and 3 years later he’s still a happy non-smoker.

Every 2 years, Anthony is saving $4,723, and avoiding 10,985 cigarettes and tens of thousands of toxins!

Happy “Spotlight Day”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

This week’s spotlight is full of quit smoking tips!

Inspiring Quit Smoking Tips

Barry Orndorff from Maryland, US, found the CBQ Program when he was 68 years old and quit smoking after 55 years. His tip: Believe.

“I stopped smoking August 2023 after 55 years as a smoker. I feel great and want those who aren’t sure if they can quit to know, they can. CBQ Method works, and made it easy for me to learn how not to smoke. Thanks to everyone at CBQ, and everyone who helps others to take that next step. That is it, take the first step, then another, and then another, one day at a time. There is nothing special about me, except I came to believed I could do it with the help of CBQ.”

Quit smoking tip by Barry Orndorff: believe

Jennifer Neff Ehrhart from Georgia, US, felt too addicted to smoking, but followed the CBQ Method and broke free. Her tip: Quitting smoking is worth it.

“Best thing I ever did for myself is to follow this program and free myself from the stupid addiction of smoking. No longer chained to a pack of smokes for over six months. As a pack a day addict that’s over $1,800 saved, but more importantly I smell good, I can breathe, I feel great, my pulse rate and blood pressure are down and my oxygen saturation is up. Just do it!”

Quit smoking tip by Jennifer Neff Ehrhart: Quitting smoking is worth it

Debbie Ferguson from Nova Scotia, Canada, used to love smoking before succeeding with the CBQ Method. Her tip: give it 100%.

“I am 66, started smoking at 13. I was 2 years smoke free this past Feb. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would quit. I loved smoking! Every single cigarette until I didn’t. When I was approaching retirement I started wondering how I would be able to continue to afford to smoke a pack a day. We’ll, I couldn’t, so before retirement I decided it was time to quit. CBQ was the answer. I gave 100% to the plan and I now a happy non-smoker.”

Quit smoking tip by Debbie Ferguson

Patty Davis from Florida, US, was scared just before her quit date, but doubled-down on her preparation. Her tip: If you’re not ready, prepare.

“I did the same thing. I’m 11 months smoke free after 30 yrs smoking and 10 yrs vaping. Thank God and the CBQ program.

When I got near the end, I was scared and not ready. Do I went back three lessons. I did them like my life depended on it. I took very seriously and studied and did everything I was asked to to. No skipping steps. It really works. Second time through, I experienced the confidence that I could really do it.”

Quit smoking tip by Patty Davis: If you're not ready, prepare.

Paula Vosko from Colorado, US, quit smoking 4 and a half years ago with the CBQ Program! Her tip: Quitting smoking is worth it and you’re worth it.

“Absolutely worth it. I quit at 69 and I’ve been a non smoker for 4 1/2 years. Had a lung xray and Thank God all clear. So worth it and this program is amazing. You will love your smoke free life”

Quit smoking tip by Paula Vosko: Quitting smoking is worth it

Inspiring Milestone

Yesterday, CBQ Program member Charles Brass from Colorado, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free.

At 69 years old, Charles never imagined it was possible—but that’s exactly what he did.

In just one year, he quit smoking after 50+ years, lost 20 pounds, and transformed every marker of his health. Now, he’s the healthiest he’s been in decades—and he feels amazing!

His story is truly inspiring, and you can watch him sharing his journey in this Ask An Ex interview.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m too old to change” or “The damage is already done,” Charles’ journey proves that transformation is always possible. His story offers invaluable hope and insights.

Happy “Spotlight Day”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community. (And there are so many!!)

Let’s dive in.

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Diane Zukowski (née Felix) from Vermont, US, celebrated 7 years smoke-free. Diane used to smoke cigarettes and cigarillos. As Diane told me herself during her Ask An Ex interview, almost all her life, smoking felt like a friend and a way to cope with her anxiety and chronic pain.

Diane has always been a very strong and independent woman, and she hated depending on cigarettes for everything. She wanted to quit, but nothing worked until one day she found the CBQ Program and decided to join. She committed fully to the process, and the rest is history. She quit on March 15, 2018.

Within 5 years she saved $21,000 USD (which she invested and more than doubled). Most importantly, she regained her health and freedom.

7 years after her quit date, Diane is still over the moon with her success!

Inspiring Success

CBQ Program member Fiona Hims from Warwickshire, United Kingdom, celebrated 3 years smoke-free. In her own words “I quit smoking on 16 March 2022 and feel very proud of my achievement, having made numerous failed attempts to quit over many years!

Nasia’s cognitive behaviour approach made complete sense right from the start and changing my smoking pattern from as early as Day 4 did not fill me with panic but with curiosity and desire. For me, that was different to any other method.”

…”I want to thank Nasia for producing such great videos, always understanding my ‘demons’ and welcoming me to her on-line program with love and compassion. Nasia – you are a very special human being. Your visualization was particularly powerful.

I don’t like smoking or hate smoking…….I just choose not to smoke any more. I am happy with my decision to choose freedom and would encourage anyone who wants the benefits of being a non-smoker to start this journey. You will start feeling like the real, best, healthiest version of you within a very short time!”

This is Fiona with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Fiona also joined the CBQ Food Freedom Program, which helped her overcome sugar dependence and completely transform her relationship with food – a gift for life! If you’re interested in the CBQ Food Freedom Program, you can join the waitlist here.

Now she’s the healthiest, happiest, and most at peace she’s ever been.

Inspiring Journey

This week, CBQ Program member Dara Laughlin from New Hampshire, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free!

Dara knew she had to quit smoking after suffering a heart attack, but she wasn’t sure how to do it, or if she could make it last.

While in the hospital, doctors told her that smoking was her only risk factor for another heart attack and gave her a nicotine patch.

But when she got home, Dara searched for a better way. She found the CBQ Method, took off her patch, joined the CBQ Program…

And she quit for good!

Inspiring Milestone – Quit Vaping

Today, CBQ Program member Caleb Thompson from Virginia, US, is celebrating 2 years vape-free!

Caleb was addicted to vaping and never thought he’d quit, let alone find it easy! This is what he said: “I’m seriously so, so happy with your program. I never, ever thought I’d be able to quit vaping at all, much less quit so easily but I never even have come close to relapsing!” “This is easily the best-working product in my life and I couldn’t be happier.”

Happy “Spotlight Day”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Milestone

Jennifer Leonowens from Guatemala celebrated 5 years smoke-free! Jenny, an incredible clinical psychologist, had tried many times to quit smoking with one-on-one therapy, hypnosis, nicotine patches, and vaping, etc. As she told me herself during this Ask An Ex interview, nothing worked for her and quitting smoking was the one thing she couldn’t do.

After attending a CBQ webinar, Jenny decided to join the CBQ Program, did every step, and found her forever freedom!

This is what she shared “As a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, I found it congruent and instructive; one day leading to the next. The exercises helped a lot. Every day before starting the new set of videos I would go through the pdf sheets of the previous day as well as my personal notes. This practice kept me focused and on track. I, like many others, had tried to become smoke-free previously with no success. It was your Cognitive Behavioral system that was effective and sustainable.

Again, thank you. I’ve come a long way from that person I used to be that looked for every, and any, opportunity to have a cigarette, even if it meant sacrificing the moment with others.”

CBQ Program member Jennifer Leonowens shares her experience of the CBQ Method

Inspiring Transformation: Vape-Free

Today, CBQ Program member Kellie Langan from South Carolina, US, is celebrating 3 years vape-free!! Kellie quit vaping on March 12, 2022. She was a smoker who switched to vaping, thinking it was the answer to quitting smoking. As many of you have experienced first-hand, vaping quickly becomes even more engrained in our lives.

That’s what happened to Kellie, and even though she wanted to quit nicotine for good, she couldn’t put her vape down. She tried to quit on her own, many times, but nothing really worked until she joined the CBQ Program.

As Kellie shared, she was able to let go of vaping with the CBQ Program and even enjoyed the process! Not only that, but the CBQ program opened her up to new ways of thinking and showed her how to change anything she wanted in her life.

Powerful!

This is Kellie holding her CBQ Success Certificate:

3 years later, Kellie is still a happy non-vaper! You can watch a short video of her sharing her experience here.

Inspiring Moment & Advice

Since last week’s spotlight, CBQ Program member Viviana Castañeda from Queensland, Australia celebrated 1 year smoke-free! Viviana was a smoker for 20 years and really wanted to quit

“I tried everything to quit and nothing worked, I was desperate mostly because I could not understand my behaviour, I was smoking and saying I do not want to smoke, it was horrible.”

But after watching my videos on YouTube, Viviana decided to join the CBQ Program.

What happened?

This is what she recently shared with the CBQ Community:

“On March 6th, 2025, I’ll be celebrating one year smoke-free! The anxiety, frustration, and disappointment was one of the toughest challenges of my life. But after I took Nasia’s program. Today, I stand proud. Regaining control feels incredible!

Quitting was not painful like other times. breaking free from smoking is a huge accomplishment for me.Huge thanks to Nasia for this amazing program, it opened my eyes and helped me reclaim my power. Here’s my pic, I’m beyond happy to share this milestone with all of you!”

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [March 5, 2025]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day” & Happy March!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Katia Massey from the UK celebrated 4 years vape-free! Katia used to smoke, and in an attempt to quit, she switched to vaping. As she told me herself during our interview, vaping was more addictive and became an inseparable part of her life for years. She couldn’t do anything or go anywhere without it. On top of that, she felt intense guilt and health anxiety because she vaped non-stop. Every attempt to quit made Katia feel deprived and turn to emotional eating, and she hated that.

Katia knew she had to try something different, and the CBQ Program was different. After completing the process, she stopped seeing vaping as something of value and broke the hand-mouth habit.

4 years later, Katia is still a happy non-vaper and enjoys her life with her husband!

This is Katia with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Inspiring Success

Two days ago, CBQ Program member Lisa Kolden Schlichting from North Dakota, US, celebrated 2 years smoke-free! 2 years ago, Lisa was terrified of quitting smoking. She said “My biggest fear was that I would change and become angry and resentful as I did during past cessation attempts.” A smoker of over 35 years, every time she tried to quit she felt deprived and unhappy. After researching online and attending a CBQ webinar, Lisa decided to join the CBQ Program, did every step and succeeded! This is the first time she feels good without cigarettes. In her own words, “This time was completely different because this program helped me be a happy non-smoker, not a deprived smoker. 🙂 Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
