I'm still in disbelief that I can go one hour or even one day without even thinking about smoking! I am eternally indebted to Nasia Davos for changing my thinking about smoking so that I can be free to live and enjoy my life without constantly worrying about my next cigarette! For any of you new or starting over...please know that it is 100% possible to be a happy non smoker!!! Thank you Nasia!! I couldn't have done it without you or the program!
I truly NEVER thought I could quit smoking. When I say never, I really mean that. I started smoking before I was 10 years old (I am not sure of the exact age) and I smoked for 25 years, minus 2 pregnancies. I had all of the reasons why I couldn’t and didn’t want to quit but the CBQ method helped me see how false those beliefs were. I can truly say that I have not wanted to smoke since the day I quit. Sure I have been triggered every time an event occurred that would call for a cigarette but I never truly WANTED to smoke! What a MIRACLE!! Thank you Nasia and the CBQ Program! Definitely worth the money as it paid for itself after 1 month of not smoking! I also think that psychologically it helped, as I felt I was more accountable to justify the spend. I stopped on the first attempt after 10 days of following the program. I have almost forgotten I was a smoker.
This was a phenomenal program, I still need to practice, but I never thought I could get this way by myself, meaning without medication. I feel great, happy, and I do feel different and feel like I achieved greatness; I am now a Non-smoker.

Sheilla’s tips: got chamomile and Ashwagandha leaves to make hot teas with lemon to stay calm which helped with hand to mouth (making something hot to drink), rep also told me to take a coenzyme B-complex capsule (vitamin) which helps to open your blood vessels and increase blood flow which will give you a calm feeling with more oxygen to the brain (in other words, it calmed me down giving me assistance while i was trying to change my focus. It took the edge off. I drank detox smoothies and the teas using the recipes Nasia gave us.

I have been a smoker for 40 years and I have tried just about every method to quit smoking that is available today. I stumbled across the CBQ Method to Quit Smoking while searching the internet for new ways to quit smoking. I was a little skeptical at first because everyone seems to have their own way to market their ‘magical’ way to quit smoking. I was fearful of quitting because I feared that I would fail. I feared I would be miserable without smoking. After watching Nasia’s video on TED Talks, I decided to go into this program with an open mind and a strong commitment to quit smoking.
During the program, I learned so much about myself and why I smoked. I learned what goes on in my mind when you have a craving and how you can rewire your brain to use mind power instead of willpower to quit smoking. It proved that all my other attempts of quitting smoking were not working because I was using willpower. For me, it was learning how to use mind power that erased all my fears about quitting smoking. As my quit date was near, I no longer had a desire to smoke. I didn’t have to use willpower. This is why I now refer my quit as ‘The EASIEST thing I never THOUGHT I could do’.
I’d really like to thank Nasia Davos and her incredible CBQ Method program, as well as the support team on Facebook for providing me encouragement in the pursuit of FREEDOM. I remain a happy non smoker. God bless you all!

I was a smoker for 26 years until I saw a webinar advertised for the CBQ Method and thought I've tried everything else may as well try this. I'm smoke-free after trying for so many years to stop. This method truly works and I would recommend anyone to use it. I can't remember what it was like to smoke and I'm finally free, my husband still smokes and I'm not even triggered.
Follow this method, take in everything that is being said, speak to the group for support but most importantly believe in yourself and you will achieve your goal to be a happy non smoker.
It's worth every penny. I had been a smoker for 26 years and tried everything. I've gone through this program and I've now been a non smoker since the 21st of July 2021.

When I saw your Ted Talk, there was something that told me that this might work for me. I love the fact that I quit and didn’t need any kind of nicotine substitute and I really just don’t miss smoking.

Coming up on my 3rd anniversary! Just wanted to come back and let others know it is very possible!!! It is the best thing you will ever do for YOURSELF!! Be encouraged!! It took me almost a month to go thru this program counted several times my last day. Went back thru each day over and over, soul searching, and trying to see why I was missing in the process until it finally clicked. And when it clicked… I won! April 5 will mark 3 years for me!! I have never looked back and can’t even believe I ever was a smoker. Be encouraged and stay strong!!
I could have never dreamed I could be here and happy about it. But thanks to this process I am completely happy. Actually, I am happier, more relaxed and less stressed than I was while I was smoking and that is crazy. Thank you so much for putting this program out there.

Also anytime I smell smoke I have to get away to some fresh air so I don't puke or gag from the smell! It turns my stomach 😖 I just cannot express how much I finally feel like ME! It’s been the most amazing journey I’ve ever taken, I had reached the point that I had just accepted I would never become a non smoker, as a COPD sufferer the smoking obviously exacerbates the condition.
I have a permanently stressful life, I care for my adult child who suffers with severe mental health problems, then three years ago I lost my life partner to cancer….none of this was sufficient to convince me to quit! Having smoked for forty five years and tried and tested every single smoking cessation programme, I was convinced I was always going to be a smoker for the rest of my life
I have never managed one day without a cigarette, nicotine patches, vaping and various other smoking cessation attempts were a total waste of time. I didn’t feel ready on my quit day, but I felt I had nothing to lose, I smoked my last cigarette at seven thirty in the morning, I wanted to be alone, this was my journey and I wanted to do this for me.
I will be eternally grateful that I came across the CBQ quit smoking programme, it has proved to me that I can succeed.
I’m feeling better than I have in years, still feel amazed with every smoke free day, that I actually managed it! Now I don't cough, I don't stink, my skin looks so good. I don't stand outside while family is inside. I dont miss out on things because I chose to go smoke. Food tastes better and honestly- I am far less afraid of getting the flu/virus/cold because my lungs have bounced back and I can handle it.
It's been three years of being smoke free! When I was going through my desk and looking through old calendars - all of them had “quit smoking” as a goal. It is so great to not have that in the back of my mind anymore. Smoking (when, where, how, and knowing I should quit) took up so much of my thoughts for so long! Now it’s hard to imagine!
Every single one of us is afraid of failing "again".....none of us want to go through the withdrawal and "suffer". I have to tell you- this was a painless process- go through the steps- trust it-- let the life change happen. This method works. XXOO

I am not the type to share my successes or bumps in the road. I decided it is time to open up with my story. I started the program on 3/31/21. My original quit date when I started the program was 4/14/21, in honor of my mom on her birthday, who passed away from lung cancer October 2010. I stayed on days 8 & 9 of the program an extra day each and doing day 10 and smoking my last cigarette on 4/12/21. My mom would have totally loved an early gift of adding years to my life! I am so happy to say I’m a Happy Non-Smoker!!!!
I smoked for 35 years and made several attempts to quit and none were ever this successful, easy and pain free.

I have smoked off and on since I was around 15 years old. Today I am 65. You can do the math. Now that I’ve quit I feel liberated and exhilarated. I feel that I finally have control over cigarettes, which have controlled my life for 50 years!
I have quit smoking so many times I’ve lost count. This time is much different. In addition to it being an awesome program, your kindness and compassion come through and that is so comforting. I have not replaced nicotine with food and I’m walking regularly. I always have walked but I always had my cigarettes with me. This is a life changer.
This program is a miracle. I don’t have any cravings for cigarettes or food. I feel free. I don’t ever have to smoke again!
I feel like I have achieved something really important and it has impacted my health. My skin looks better and I don’t cough all the time. I haven’t been a heavy smoker, daily though, especially before bed, chain smoking… This program really works, so much implemented in it, we just need to be thorough!
Just a note of reflection, the most crucial day of the program was Day 8 for me. A proper eye opener. Only with the preparation of previous days. Completing the Program took me a month, now smoke free since 30th June 2022, after 21yrs (with a 3 years break when having a child 16 years ago), no cravings, just different mindset and freedom.
Your program is awesome. Thank you for smoking in the past and thank you for all your hard work and honesty. I have always asked ex-smokers how did they do it and wanted to know their insight story. You did it for all of us, so much respect and appreciation:)

I love being smoke free (and nicotine free) - since March 4, 2019! I feel like I finally got that monkey off my back! I am thrilled with my success. I followed the program, did the exercises everyday, visualized how I would conquer my triggers. This program is priceless. I feel like for the first time in many years I will succeed. I feel like if anyone goes through the program they will succeed. But, first of all you have to understand you are NOT losing your best friend you are gaining your life and health back. After 3 or 4 days all the nicotine is out of your system and then it is just a mind game. Mind over matter at that point.
This truly is the best program ever! I followed it completely and did every exercise. I couldn’t have done this without this program. So thankful to Nasia and team!! So today I’m grateful for how good I feel and how thankful I am that I am two years free of that awful habit!

I was a smoker as a teenager. I tried so many times to quit. Tried all the new ways on the market to quit over the years and going cold turkey. I would do good for a while, but different triggers in life would happen and I would give in. I was an over the road trucker. Being away from my family for long periods of time was my biggest trigger.
I knew my health had to change when a doctor I saw said " All truck drivers are in bad health." I told her "That is not true, there are some that want to have better health."
I knew I had to make the choice myself but needed the help to do this. I wanted to prove to myself that I can be a non-smoker, to my family I can be a non-smoker, and for any truck drivers out there YOU can be a non-smoker!
Nasia with the CBQ Method is the help I needed to give that advice, the science, the tools, the hope that I needed.
It worked. I am a non-smoker over since September 23, 2021. Many triggers happened. I rewatch videos, think about tools I have been able to learn. I talk with my family. I pray about it.
What worked for me is believing the CBQ Method will work and it WILL happen that I am a non-smoker. The suport team is amazing with personal messages helping to get back on track, or just for extra support to let you know you are capable to quit and can quit.
I did the program and then restarted it again. I wasn't 100% into commiting with my mind the first time. I needed to restart and that is ok.
Never stop trying! Good luck to everyone, you can do this!

Now after 40+ years of smoking... My quit date is actually 9/9/21 @ 9:50am. I keep that written down to remind me that every second,minute,and hour is important to count in being smoke free. Validation is very important.

My A-HA moment was when I could go an hour in the morning without a cigarette and have a cup of coffee. That was my biggest hurdle (the morning) and once I did that I knew I was on my way. Coffee never tasted so good.

I didn’t know how I was going to do it! I have just retired, so I have very little distraction. COVID has really messed up my retirement plans of travelling and volunteering. ☹ I was frustrated that all the doctors say “quit smoking” but offer no help or suggestions. I had my last cigarette in the evening on my front porch, playing Taylor Swift's "We are never ever getting back together", I read my break-up letter to my girlfriend from dance class, we both cried and she filmed the event. I know now that my fear was because I always thought that I'd continue wanting a cigarette for the rest of my life. And that, of course, just didn’t happen. The cravings do go away, as long as I don't give in to them.

The signs of of my mind and body healing are pretty amazing, now that I stop to notice them. Until I decided to quit, I did not realize how much it controlled me. It’s been quite strange though. I have tried quitting many times and with many different techniques and each time I am, as you say, a deprived non-smoker. And all I can do is think about smoking.
This time however, it hasn’t been like that. Sure there are some triggers but for the majority of the time, I don’t even think about smoking. I go through the days and then I will realize I don’t even remember when I might have last thought about smoking.
I know you explained to us how the program works and took us through step by step, but I admit I was skeptical because it seemed like hocus pocus and I had so many failed attempts with different methods. But somehow it just worked. I had that last cigarette at 7:00pm and then the next day I did not even miss it. Not even with my morning coffee 1 hr after waking up:). I don’t think about before going to sleep thinking how good it will be to wake up and have a smoke, or when I do wake up thinking how good it will be when I get my coffee.
I want to thank you for developing this program and thank you and your team for your support.
The biggest thing about this for me is that now I finally feel like I’ve been able to keep my promise to my daughter that I will quit. After making this promise so many times and failing, I know she was beginning to give up on me, and disappointing your child like that is one of the biggest heartaches I’ve ever had.

Well, that lasted 3 days and I was ready to go buy some cigarettes. I remembered that I had a pen style vape and charged it up. I started vaping and never smoked another cig again. My doctor told me a couple of years ago that I may have the first stages of emphysema and I've been on inhalers since. I got covid pneumonia 1 1/2 years ago and the first thing they told me is that my lungs were fried. I was in ICU and almost died, but after getting out of the hospital (16 days later with no vaping) I tried to go without vaping but couldn't. My brain was consumed with the thought of vaping and wouldn't stop. So, 7 years of vaping, I really, really, wanted to quit and went thru your program for a 3rd time (I felt that the first 2 times were not helping me at all (I don’t think I was doing everything correctly)). It has been hard, especially with a beer in hand and no vape, but I'm doing it. I find what helps me the most is getting rid of the thought and moving on to another and the deep breathing. After a few minutes I'm ok again. So for 47 years, I was either a smoker or vaper, and now, I'm neither. It is definitely a mind thing, and the mind is a powerful thing. I AM TRULY FREE!

On April 30th, 2018, I started an 8 week couch to 5K program. On May 18th I turned 46, and I bought myself an inflatable paddle board. On June 27th I got my 5K Runner Badge. I continue to run 5K plus 3 days a week, and I get faster every day I run. Through it all I have lost 35 pounds.

My freedom date is: 20-02-2022! I was a smoker for 29 years. There was of course many attempts to stop, especially for my 2 pregnancies. And then, I became a social smoker and was able to maintain « that status » for a few years. Afterward, I started vaping for a year and then my kids started picking it up and trying it and that did not make me feel very proud of myself. So I started to smoke again. My teenagers would push me away when I would approach them to give them a kiss « mom you stink »!
One morning I woke up and said to myself I want to stop smoking. And I googled the following ….. how to stop smoking naturally….. and voilà…CBQ method came up!
For me it’s very simple, the decision to invest in myself by joining the CBQ program was a very big step out off a very long hibernation status I was maintaining for many many years. I quit smoking on 16 March 2022 and feel very proud of my achievement, having made numerous failed attempts to quit over many years!
Nasia's cognitive behaviour approach made complete sense right from the start and changing my smoking pattern from as early as Day 4 did not fill me with panic but with curiosity and desire. For me, that was different to any other method.
Removing my mental dependence on smoking was straightforward as I started to complete the exercises and experiments. Completing the worksheets strengthened my understanding and I believe this plays a big part in what makes the CBQ program unique and successful.
Developing replacement activities were also a key part in the success of this program for me. I particularly enjoyed journaling and still do this. Teaching myself to knit also supported me in defining the end of a meal to stop me snacking!

I have been trying to quit smoking for many years. The first time I tried was in 1987. I started smoking in 1977. So I have smoked for 44 years and have tried to quit for 34 years. I have literally tried every method known to quit. Being a smoker was never who I truly was. Your program was the first to have ever worked for me and it worked like magic. I know that sounds unbelievable and I cannot explain it.
I have tried and failed with every other method out there. I was a smoker who truly believed I enjoyed smoking! Smoking is the absolute worst!!! The only people who benefit from smoking are big tobacco, morticians, and pharmaceutical companies. Freedom is so sweet!!!
I have learned so much from the CBQ program and I owe Nasia Davos a great debt. For me, in the past, smoking a cigarette was my first coping mechanism! For anger, depression, and everything else in between. I would leave the situation, go off by myself somewhere and smoke and think about what was happening inside of me. Then I usually felt somewhat better or more together and I would rejoin the situation or not. So the cigarette would get all the credit for making me feel better( when it actually was only relieving my craving for nicotine) and I was the one actually doing all of the work trying to figure out how I was going to cope with the situation. As a non smoker, I still remove myself from the situation and go somewhere by myself to think. I just don’t smoke because I fought like hell to get rid of that problem and I no longer have to satisfy the nicotine craving. Removing myself from the situation does help.
The other thing I’m doing is I ordered a workbook on cognitive behavioral therapy and I’m working my way through it. It’s not easy but at 62, I figured I better start learning to cope with my problems without a cigarette. It’s a journey.

I had so many attachments to cigarettes with all the false ideas that it was my friend helping through everything when it fact it was the opposite. Every time I think I’m having a craving I do the self-talk. I now have my brain convinced that a cigarette does nothing for me, because it truly doesn’t. It’s not my friend, it doesn’t give me energy, it doesn’t taste good, all the negative things cigarettes do enter my mind now. Amazing program. I’ve smoked off and on for 30 years. The weirdest obstacle was learning how to be a non-smoker again. I seriously had to talk to friends and observe what nonsmokers do. I’ve started doing puzzles and paint by numbers. Biggest thing is actually connecting with my family again. I talk and engage with them more where before I’d slip out for hours to sit by myself and smoke outside – not healthy. I’m actually happier and have more energy than before and I think it’s because I’m just so excited that this program worked. I want to shout from the rooftops that I did it! I did it without willpower and cravings. I truly don’t want a cigarette. Stress doesn’t scare me – it was actually enlightening to see how supportive my friends and family were so it’s nice to know I can lean on them if stress happens where before I dealt with it by myself smoking away solving nothing. In my journal and monthly review, I kept congratulating myself and honoring my non-smoker journey. I’m my own cheerleader!

Lately I feel content and feel inner peace.
Taking a walk and seeing all those flowers bursting and growing now gives me an overflow of joy.

Hi Nasia, Thanks to you, I’m enjoying my smoke-free life. Every day is more amazing than the last. I had my last cigarette at 3pm on Jan 31st 2022, so I count Feb 1st as my 1st smoke-free day. I’m so proud of my accomplishment. After 52 years of smoking & so many failed attempts at quitting (never making it even one day) I’d love to tell the World! I had an appointment with my doctor a few days after quitting. My oxygen saturation went to 96% as soon as she put the device on my finger. I used to struggle to get it over 90%. Also, my slightly elevated blood pressure has returned to a perfect 123/68. That was less than a week after quitting cigarettes! I feel better every day! Nasia & CBQ made it not only possible, but far easier than I ever thought possible. Thank you!
I did work hard to make this program work for me, but as you already know, I wasn’t ‘just’ a smoker, I was so committed to smoking that every single person in my fairly large family, had totally & completely given up trying to get me to quit. Not one person left in my world thought there was any chance I would ever quit. I can not stress this enough! But, there’s one more thing I want to stress & that is this:
After applying myself to every aspect of the CBQ method, I was able to: Simply Walk Away!! No withdrawals. No cravings. No urges, triggers, desires or thoughts of wanting a cigarette.
The only time cigarettes came to mind was when I thought ‘something’ was ‘missing’, that I was ‘forgetting’ to do ‘something’. Then, I’d realize it was smoking a cigarette that was ‘missing’. It wasn’t that I ‘wanted’ a cigarette. It was just that it was the part that my mind ‘thought’ I was ‘forgetting’ or ‘missing’.
Does that make sense? In other words, I didn’t experience the horrible withdrawals I’ve had before. No white-knuckled “I HAVE TO SMOKE OR DIE!” moments. Since I live more than 1,000 miles away from my family, it took months before they could actually believe I’d been successful.
So, when I say “Thank you, Nasia!!” it’s quite a bit more than a simple ’thanks’. I know you hear this all the time, but there are no words to adequately express my gratitude. And I feel that enormous gratitude every single day. I’m still in total disbelief that I am finally, after 52 yrs, FREE!!
Kathi’s advice to other smokers: Trust the program. You will find out WHY it’s important to record every cigarette & YES it’s VERY important! You will be given exercises to help you cut down your smokes per day Without Using Willpower. Trust the program. On my day 10, I was still doubting my ability to quit, but, it was SO EASY! I smoked a pack a day for 52 years. Tried every program on the books & never was able to quit. Not even for a full day. You’ll be so amazed when you get to the end & realize you really don’t want to smoke.
It was so easy to walk away that none of my family & friends can believe it, either. Nasia makes it so easy that you’ll have to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming.

Let the program work, only you can get in the way of progress. If you could quit on your own you would have quit already. Follow the program and do not be in such a hurry. You can do it. I was a hard-core addict. I had to listen to the videos over and over again. I panicked so much about counting how many times I vape that I stopped on day 6. I always knew logically I should not smoke but I couldn't figure out all the emotional reasons until doing this program.
If you keep working the program something is going to click, once it does you can do this. Crave freedom.
Think of something really hard that you accomplished. This is when it clicked for me. I went to law school. It was really hard. The reason I succeeded in law school was because I believed I could do it if I worked hard enough. I pictured myself as a lawyer. I recognized the benefits of being a lawyer. Apply the same principles to quitting smoking. Think of the hardest thing that you accomplished. Figure out how you accomplished it. Apply the same thoughts to smoking and you will succeed. This is a mental battle. You are smarter than an elephant or a cigarette. You got this.

Just go one step at a time and you'll come out the other side a happy non-smoker.
One thing I finally got from my head to my heart while going through this process, is that ANY form of nicotine leads me right back to smoking. I am enjoying my new found freedom. With the work you guided me through, I have had little discomfort or anxiety. It was like stepping into who I was always meant to be. I have started walking every day and already feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually than I have in 15 years. This has been an amazing journey and I love it.

If someone told me not to try smoking that first one because I was going to become addicted for 47 years I would not have believed them, especially because it was so nasty tasting and made me feel dizzy and sick. But 47 years later and numerous quit attempts I was FINALLY able to change my ending with this program.
Where I struggled with quitting smoking is that all the methods I tried were unfortunately not successful for me. I am so glad that I found this program because it makes so much sense to quit without using NRT products. I learned how to change my mindset. Visualization is a great exercise for getting what you desire. I learned how to practice mindfulness and gratefulness and most of all the gradual decrease using the inventory worksheet was both an eye opener and a perfect way to become detached from smoking. It just makes so much sense!
I am still beyond grateful for finding this amazing program. Thankful for all the lessons learned about myself and especially to Nasia for guiding in a way that helps educate to break free from the nicotine addiction. It teaches us much more as well.
This program keeps giving because there are many learnings that can continue to be applied in other areas of our life.

I had my last cigarette on January 26th 2022. Feel very blessed to have found you, your team and program. The program has been more than I expected. Quit for 30 years and when I started dating a gentleman who smoked and we were out on the motorcycle I would light his cigarettes for him. That was all it took to hook me right back in. Then my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and it seemed like my smoking increased 10 fold. I felt like an idiot. However, I found CBQ and I knew I was ready!
I am definitely a believer in your program Nasia and intend to spread the word without stepping on toes. For the first time I feel like I can leave the cigarettes behind without fear of weight gain, lose of a connection with my significant other, unable to cope with whatever comes my way in the life I have left. It was so easy for me and i smoked a pack a day for 50 years. Please invest in this program you will not regret it if you follow it as instructed.
I followed the CBQ method exactly. Every morning I sat on my porch and listened to Nasia and took notes. I think the note taking helped.. I wrote down almost everything she said. I did all the assignments for the day and reread my notes at night. Honestly I was shocked how easy it was... I had very little cravings and did not need willpower.
My advice would be to choose to quit and have a plan that includes a quit date. The CBQ method does that. I was scared when I started the program because I had to set my quit date but once I started the program it all fell into place and I was welcoming my quit date. I have been smoke free with no or little withdrawal. None of my attempts have worked. The Lord and this program guided me to victory 💖

I had learned so much, and finally given the Tools to succeed. I knew this was going to be different than the.. I’ll finish this pack then I’ll quit routine. Thank You Nasia. I used to say I “enjoyed” smoking. Sounds so much more in control than… I have a filthy stinking addiction.

This year I turned 65 so was reflecting on my “senior” status. I have 6 older sisters and two of them heavy smokers that died from smoke related diseases at ages 65 and 67. Although I wasn’t a “heavy” smoker by a lot of peoples standards, ( under a half a pack a day) I was definitely a Long Time smoker. 50 years.
My last cigarette was on Sept 10, 2021.
As of July 20th, 2020 at 11:28pm, I am SMOKE FREE. I feel very happy and accomplished.

I’m proud to say that I’ve been smoke/nicotine free since 7/27/21 at 8 am! This program made all the difference and I’m very grateful for it. The exercises helped a lot. Every day before starting the new set of videos I would go through the pdf sheets of the previous day as well as my personal notes. This practice kept me focused and on track. I, like many others, had tried to become smoke-free previously with no success. It was your Cognitive Behavioral system that was effective and sustainable.

Working the program supported and guided me into how to have a new mindset- which is really the ‘secret’ in quitting. I have never wanted to have a smoke again but have had times where I had to analyze my feelings and remind myself about how my mind is sending tricky messages- especially when I am alone and in environments where I use to identify smoking as pleasure. Being smoke free when I turned 60 was a really big deal to me when I started the program in February and today, when I blow out those candles- I’ll be mostly celebrating being a non-smoker!!!
February 20th was my quit date and I am celebrating freedom every day!
Your program is amazing and what I have learned is priceless and I’ve been able to apply it to other things and continue to share it with so many others!

Having smoked most of my adult life, I was desperate to quit but did not know how. I hated how smoking held me back from feeling free to enjoy my life. Discovering the CBQ program and believing in Nasia Davos' technique was a genuine awakening. I fully invested myself in following all the instructions and once I understood my thought processes and behaviours, the MAGIC happened.

I started first thing in the morning watching the video for the day and made sure I recorded every cigarette I smoke in my smokers log. Printed out the worksheets for the day and faithfully read and practice what they said. I just knew I had to quit and cold turkey would if never worked for me, needed the process. The cravings are so much weaker and only have a couple a day lasting no more than 15-30 sec. I replace the craving thought with another thought.
Had to make the decision and believe it. Funny, but smoking is beginning to feel like a distant memory. I am so proud of myself and my husband and family are too.

With this program CBQ Method I learned I had more control than I ever imagined. Lots of prayers! God is and has been my strength! The CBQ Method was so easy. I have smoked for 30 some years. I felt that I needed cigarettes. It is a wonderful world when you are free. I am so happy and so is my husband and family. I am embracing my new routine and loving it.
I quit April 27th, 2022! I purchased the program and felt that since I paid for it that I needed to finish it. I am glad I did!! It is worth every penny. The program paid for itself after a couple weeks. I really like that I still have support after I quit. I still have full access to the program for life. I am still so grateful every day I don’t smoke. I needed back surgery but my doctor wouldn’t not perform it if I was smoking. I can hardly walk but thanks to CBQ I will got the surgery I needed.

Thank you so much for the gift of ‘freedom from smoking’! I was a light, closet smoker and it makes it easy to rationalize but none of the points you have made are any different for me. The guilt, lack of energy, deceit, focus on the next cigarette, health worries, a hospital stay with pulmonary emboli, grand children and children I want to be here for and focused on and so much more. I quit smoking when I was 30, 38 years ago and I can’t believe I was stupid enough to think I could have just one cigarette. It set off 5 years of addiction and I am so ready to have it behind me… for good. Thank you for this program. I'm Daniel Frisbie, 55 years old and a former cigarette smoker from the USA. I began smoking as a child at eight years old, swiping cigarettes from adults when they weren't looking until I could buy them myself. I continued to smoke through my teen years and into adulthood. I served in the US Navy for 23 years, smoking heavily the whole time and developing an affection for heavy alcohol consumption. After I retired from the Navy, I worked offshore in the oil and gas industry, and continued to smoke a pack of cigarettes per day. In 2010, my wife and I lost our daughter of 24 years to illness. About 6 years ago, my drinking alcohol became out of control and I had to quit (with help), but continued to smoke.
In the Spring of 2019, I suddenly became concerned for my health and began to eat healthier and exercise a little. Stopping smoking seemed to be a natural step in the healthy lifestyle, so I explored methods and decided to try the CBQ method. My 55th birthday seemed like a great time to make this big change.
Having served in combat in the past, I have some PTSD issues that were masked and controlled by the smoking. Smoking was my control method of keeping the PTSD issues buried. Without smoking, my issues surfaced and created a storm like I've never seen. However, I am smart enough to know when things are bad and got help immediately.
I completed the CBQ program in June 2019. Over two years ago, I smoked my last cigarette and no vaping, tobacco or nicotine in any form since. During the past 2.5 years, I have also had a severe PTSD recurrence, went through a divorce, and have been in a battle with the VA over disability. No tobacco. No vaping. No nicotine.
In fact this program has been so successful for me that I am using it as a subject for a school project/paper on Cognitive Behavioral Theory.

While recovering from Back Surgery, I decided now was the time to stop and to free myself from the restrictions and smoking and vaping imposes on activities of all kinds. Recovering from surgery provided me with all kinds of triggers that I learned to overcome by taking the classes every day. I love a challenge, and this was indeed one of the greatest challenges of my life, and I have been successful.
Through many trials, I have not seen cigarettes as a potential help to cope with anything. That’s one of your mindfulness pieces that has stuck in my thought process..
I suffer from Major depression and GAD. Being smokeless hasn’t made my conditions worse, nor would smoking make me better. Smoking needs to be seen as irrelevant to the human existence. Anyway, that’s how I see it now. Once an essential and controlling part of my life for 61 years, smoking is not going to help me or negatively effect my emotional conditions. DONE.

I’ve believed my whole life that quitting smoking was too hard and I was just doomed to be a smoker forever out of fear of what I would have to go through and experience by trying to stop... The limiting beliefs part of the program made me realize that maybe, just maybe that’s a bunch of BS😂 As the program went on it became clear that it’s possible to quit smoking without suffering!

Trust and FINISH the program. You are going to discover a lot about yourself so have the mindset of excitement and self discovery, not judgement. Step outside of yourself and look at the big picture of your life and what you need then go for it!

Quitting gives you the keys to a new life. No more waking myself up in the middle of every night telling myself I’m a failure. Instead quitting has given me so much self confidence to do many things. I am also so much happier about life (the program teaches us to have gratitude and choose to look at things positively). It’s a mindset reset. I live in the present. I can mentally focus better on tasks. Physically, I can breathe better. I bought an exercise bike, I go for walks. There are things I can’t do but that’s okay because there’s lots I can. I am a much happier and positive person now. It’s a process though.
I’ve lost 28 pounds using the same techniques for smoking and I have a much more positive mindset about life as a whole.

From age sixteen to thirty-three, smoking was my secret. I always told myself that I would quit by age twenty, then twenty-five, then thirty, but I never could. It went on so long, I started to believe I would never be able to let it go and that I would live my whole life as a smoker. It felt deeply engrained in me like it was a part of who I was, but I couldn’t openly discuss my addiction because I had always kept it a secret from even my own family. As a teenager, I think smoking was my little escape that I gave myself, a vice just for me. As I got older though, I still secretly smoked, and I knew that the reason it was a secret was because I had always been ashamed of it.
At age thirty-three, my husband was the only person in my life who knew that I smoked, and because he smoked too, it had always felt like a part of our relationship. So many conversations with him, both good and bad, had happened over cigarettes. Smoking was how we relaxed together and was also how we dealt with stress together. He and I met young, back when I was nineteen and he was twenty, and our relationship literally started over a smoke break when we both worked at a grocery store together. As the years passed, my husband and I constantly discussed the desire to quit, our unhappiness as smokers, and our awareness that we were physically feeling horrible. He and I made some weak attempts over the years to quit, once with vaping and several times with willpower, but we always relapsed.
Some time ago, I researched ways to quit smoking and came across the CBQ Method. The website appealed to me, I joined your email list, and for a long time I just stayed on the list, receiving periodic inspirational emails from you, many with invitations to learn more about the program, but I never acted on them. I continued to smoke, falling deeper down into my addiction, even though occasionally I would click on the links in your emails like I was just cautiously dipping my toe into water I was too afraid to go swimming in. As my journey as a smoker reached its darkest days, the CBQ Method was still in the back of my mind. Sometimes I weakly mentioned it in conversation with my husband, but he would say things like, “That’s just a scam,” because he was deep in his addiction too and had never even explored the CBQ website.
Smoking was certainly not the only problem I had in my life, but it was definitely one of the biggest problems in my life. About half-way through 2023, I felt like a multitude of things in my life were weighing me down and I was miserable. I knew that I was at a crossroads where I had to decide if I was going to stay the same and deteriorate or if I was going to change and potentially thrive. I made an entire page-long outline of my New Year’s Resolutions for 2024, spanning every category from business, finance, health, creative goals, hobbies, and my relationships. It was a roadmap of everything I wanted and quitting smoking was at the very top of the list.
My husband begrudgingly agreed to watch the free CBQ Webinar with me, and by the end of it he admitted that it “definitely wasn’t a scam” and that he wanted to go through the program with me. We did the program together, and it was not always easy. It took us two tries to complete it, but we persevered. We both went through a lot of emotions along the way. It was helpful to go through the program with a partner because on the days I felt positive, I could encourage him and on the days that I was not in good spirits, he could encourage me. As I approached my quit date the first time around, I confided in the CBQ group that I was “dreading my quit date.” Your team advised me that it sounded like I wasn’t ready and recommended that I postpone my quit date. I fell off the wagon and got a lot of cigarettes out of my system, then eventually realized I still hated my addiction as much as ever. I returned a few weeks later to the program to try again. At the end of the program, you told the story about skydiving, about just being willing to jump even if something seems terrifying, because it probably isn’t as bad as it seems. That really resonated with me, and I imagined myself jumping out of my addiction and just letting it go, come what may. I very much felt like I had been making smoking into a bigger deal than it needed to be, and your story gave me valuable perspective.
One thing that I would like for you to know is that the CBQ was at the forefront of what is an ongoing transformational journey for me. I realized an important lesson when going through your program: that there is nothing in life that I want to do that someone out there isn’t already an expert in. For the portion of my 2024 Resolutions Outline that was about quitting smoking, you were the expert who helped me navigate that particular goal. I have sought out the advice of other experts for the rest of my goals list, which is an ongoing work-in-progress. It makes all the difference in the world to a person’s success of achieving a goal whether they have teachers or are navigating alone. When it comes to my goals list, I told myself after the CBQ that if I could quit smoking, I could do anything, even though there were a lot of very ambitious goals on my list. Quitting my smoking vice felt like the biggest obstacle on the list, and I had an excellent teacher: you.
Chris and I thank you for making such a positive difference for smokers everywhere with your wonderful program and for of course making such a positive difference in our lives. We are so grateful to have been CBQ members. I don't know how we ever would have quit without you. I'll never be able to properly express how thankful we are to you for helping us "choose freedom."

When I started with CBQ it was because of the money mostly. The price of cigarettes went up as if they weren’t expensive enough. But then I found out my eyes are extremely dry because of smoking. And then I find out that smoking can cause macular degeneration. This is where smoking chokes the blood flow to the retina which could make you permanently blind. So now I had a greater reason to quit. I kept asking myself what’s the matter with me? Then I went through the program and then I relapsed. So, I listened to the “Ask An Ex” videos. As some of them were speaking, they would say things that made think, “Where did that come from?” So, then I decided to go through the program again, this time at a slower pace and taking notes. I found things that I missed the first time around. I think I rushed through the program to quickly the first time. Everything fell into place doing the program a second time and by focusing on my mindset and self-talk.
My Quit Date was June 6, 2022. I’m feeling great. I am enjoying life more now. I am exercising easier now. Best of all I see that I am making a great impact on my young grandsons, ages 6 and 8. I’ve been a bad influence to them as they were getting older. The 8 year old, one day when I was babysitting them, came up to me and asked if he could try my cigarette. Of course I said no. But I did have a talk with them on how bad smoking is. After that the younger one said to me, “Granny, don’t smoke anymore.” That’s when I knew I had to quit, for them and of course for myself. I love going to see them now as a nonsmoker. I get to spend more quality time with them. My grandsons are happy when I come over and don’t smoke. I am so very happy about my new life.
I also created a poem that seemed to resonate with me more than my goodbye letter. Not sure maybe I used too many words in my goodbye letter. I have passion for being creative. I will share the poem below.

I am free of cigarettes since November 27, 2021. I can’t really believe it. I smoked for 28 years. I remember thinking as I was a few days into the program (I think this was day 3/4) that I am never going to manage. I couldn’t cut down. But I was scared to do the program but i just thought that evening when i signed up, what have I got to lose! And i gained so much!!! One thing i also did was examine what the cigarette would do for me, and i always came to the conclusion actually nothing, just entrap me again in the nicotine addiction! So yay i am free!!!!! I can not thank you, enough. Your program changed my life!
