Inspiring Quit Smoking Tips
Barry Orndorff from Maryland, US, found the CBQ Program when he was 68 years old and quit smoking after 55 years. His tip: Believe.
“I stopped smoking August 2023 after 55 years as a smoker. I feel great and want those who aren’t sure if they can quit to know, they can. CBQ Method works, and made it easy for me to learn how not to smoke. Thanks to everyone at CBQ, and everyone who helps others to take that next step. That is it, take the first step, then another, and then another, one day at a time. There is nothing special about me, except I came to believed I could do it with the help of CBQ.”
Jennifer Neff Ehrhart from Georgia, US, felt too addicted to smoking, but followed the CBQ Method and broke free. Her tip: Quitting smoking is worth it.
“Best thing I ever did for myself is to follow this program and free myself from the stupid addiction of smoking. No longer chained to a pack of smokes for over six months. As a pack a day addict that’s over $1,800 saved, but more importantly I smell good, I can breathe, I feel great, my pulse rate and blood pressure are down and my oxygen saturation is up. Just do it!”
Debbie Ferguson from Nova Scotia, Canada, used to love smoking before succeeding with the CBQ Method. Her tip: give it 100%.
“I am 66, started smoking at 13. I was 2 years smoke free this past Feb. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would quit. I loved smoking! Every single cigarette until I didn’t. When I was approaching retirement I started wondering how I would be able to continue to afford to smoke a pack a day. We’ll, I couldn’t, so before retirement I decided it was time to quit. CBQ was the answer. I gave 100% to the plan and I now a happy non-smoker.”
Patty Davis from Florida, US, was scared just before her quit date, but doubled-down on her preparation. Her tip: If you’re not ready, prepare.
“I did the same thing. I’m 11 months smoke free after 30 yrs smoking and 10 yrs vaping. Thank God and the CBQ program.
When I got near the end, I was scared and not ready. Do I went back three lessons. I did them like my life depended on it. I took very seriously and studied and did everything I was asked to to. No skipping steps. It really works. Second time through, I experienced the confidence that I could really do it.”
Paula Vosko from Colorado, US, quit smoking 4 and a half years ago with the CBQ Program! Her tip: Quitting smoking is worth it and you’re worth it.
“Absolutely worth it. I quit at 69 and I’ve been a non smoker for 4 1/2 years. Had a lung xray and Thank God all clear. So worth it and this program is amazing. You will love your smoke free life”
Inspiring Milestone
Yesterday, CBQ Program member Charles Brass from Colorado, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free.
At 69 years old, Charles never imagined it was possible—but that’s exactly what he did.
In just one year, he quit smoking after 50+ years, lost 20 pounds, and transformed every marker of his health. Now, he’s the healthiest he’s been in decades—and he feels amazing!
His story is truly inspiring, and you can watch him sharing his journey in this Ask An Ex interview.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’m too old to change” or “The damage is already done,” Charles’ journey proves that transformation is always possible. His story offers invaluable hope and insights.
