Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [May 15, 2024]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day”! I’m excited to share with you this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community. Today’s stories are packed with inspiration!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Dory Johnson from Colorado, US, celebrated 3 years nicotine-free! Dory started using the nicotine gum while trying to quit smoking. Instead of breaking free, she remained addicted to the nicotine gum for 14 years. For 14 years, Dory promised herself she’d quit but kept on chewing.

3 years ago, Dory came across the CBQ Program and decided to join. This changed everything for her. “CBQ Method turned my world upside down. This method steps, were uncoiling a matrix of thoughts, beliefs, shames, traumas, faux rewards, smoke and mirrors and really really altering my body’s bio-chemistry. She went in at each angle to help me unhook my relationship to nicotine.”

“If you are this path- I commend you. I did not know I could do it and here I am smiling at you with my certificate and drinking my coffee.”

3 years later, Dory is still nicotine-free and happy!

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Melissa Budworth from Queensland, Australia, who has been a happy non-smoker for over a year now. All her life, Melissa was told she had an addictive personality but she proved everyone (including herself) wrong. She broke free from smoking and it was easier than she ever thought possible. As an added bonus, since quitting smoking she has saved over AUD$15,000!

Melissa’s tip: All you have to do is commit.

“I purchased the program and only made it to day 5. I can’t remember the excuse I used to stop mid way. I “tried” again about a month later and made it to day 7. It was simply fear of failing for me. About a year after buying the CBQ program I was so annoyed and disappointed with myself the same as you are feeling. Finally I just committed to completing the program and trying my best. That was all I had to do. Commit! smoked my last cigarette on February 4th 2023. It was so much easier than I thought it could ever be. I smoked for 40 years and never thought I could quit.

If I can do it…..so can you.”

Inspiring Commitment

Since our last newsletter, CBQ Program member Paula Gibson from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 1 year smoke-free. Paula broke a 45-year addiction and completely transformed her relationship with smoking. When she was 4 months smoke-free, she lost her beloved mom and despite the grief and stress that came with this loss, Paula never turned to smoking because, as she told me, she had completely reprogrammed her mind. Paula knew smoking would do nothing to help her.

1 year later, Paula is happy and looks back at her “life changing” success.

Inspiring Success

Two days ago, CBQ Program member Erin Langan from Pennsylvania, US, celebrated 2 years smoke-free! Erin was convinced she’ll never quit smoking let alone feel content or happy without it! After lots of research and thinking, she decided to give the CBQ Program a proper shot and to her surprise, she made it! This is what Erin said: “I have tried many different methods to quit in the past but nothing worked. I’m so glad I found CBQ.”.. “I never thought I would make it through the first 24 hours.” Now Erin is 2 years smoke-free!

This is Erin with her CBQ Success Certificate that she shared hoping “it will help current smokers feel motivated to break free from their addiction.”

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [May 8, 2024]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day”! I’m excited to share with you this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

You’ll love today’s tips!

Inspiring Milestone

Two days ago, CBQ Program member Carol Poste from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 2 years smoke-free! Carol was a smoker for over 45 years and suffered from chronic pain. For years, she used smoking as a pain relief until she learned that smoking was making her chronic pain worse! Carol’s surgeon told her “that my spine disks have deteriorated from smoking all these years!!!” With the stress and pressure of an upcoming spine surgery, Carol started looking for ways to quit smoking. After assessing all her options, she decided to join the CBQ Program, and the rest is history!

Since quitting smoking, Carol has had a successful surgery and has saved over 10,000 CAD. Incredible!

This is what Carol shared with our community:

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Collette Dziemian, who quit smoking and drinking with the CBQ Program …. and lost 16 pounds! Collette has not had a cigarette or a sip since February 24, 2024 and she’s feeling free and happy!

It all started by deciding to ignore her inner critic and try to create a new reality for herself.

Collette’s tip: Push past your limiting beliefs.

“68 days after quitting smoking and drinking (quit together) I’m still loving the weight loss and detox smoothies . 16 pounds lost too!!! Myth-buster: quitting smoking does not ALWAYS cause weight gain I hope this inspires someone to push past limiting beliefs”

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Program member Yolande E. Overton from Virginia, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free! Yolande was a smoker for 49 years, and this is what she posted on the CBQ Reviews Page:

“I had been a smoker for 49 years and never tried to quit or thought seriously about quitting. I’ll like to take this time to thank you for the valuable information shared throughout the program. I decided I wanted to quit and noticed when I was cutting back that it wasn’t the physical withdrawals that bothered me, but mental craving that were the problem. So, when I saw an advertisement about your program. I joined and so glad that I did. It helped me to put all the pieces in place to give me the courage to take that final step. And on the 10th day I had no problem smoking my last cigarette. I highly recommend this program to anyone who has had a desire to quit. If I was able to quit after so many years on my first try, then anyone can. Thank you for everything!!!”

This is Yolande with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Inspiring Transformation

This week CBQ Program member Susan Bell from Kentucky, US, celebrated 3 months smoke-free. Susan used to smoke for over 50 years and this is the longest and happiest she’s been smoke-free! “I have stopped several times in the past. Each time, I got started again because I thought “Just one smoke won’t hurt me”. But of course, one smoke led to another, led to another, and soon I was smoking like a chimney again. So that’s why I appreciated the CBQ program: it made clear to me what an addiction smoking is, how I can talk back to that craving and beat it”

“I loved the various exercises and how those practice sessions gave me the strength to follow through with quitting on my quit date. Loved the daily videos, and how comforting Nasia is on those videos, but also encouraging you to keep making progress.”

This is what Susan posted in our member’s community this week:

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [May 1, 2024]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day” and happy new month! Today, I’m excited to share with you this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Let’s dive in 🙂

Inspiring Transformation

Yesterday, CBQ Program member Valerie Bennett from England, UK, celebrated five years smoke-free! Val’s transformation has been inspirational, to say the least. She used to smoke two packs a day for 40 years. As she told me during our Ask An Ex interview, she didn’t get out of bed in the morning before smoking two cigarettes with her coffee.

One day, while browsing Facebook, Val came across the CBQ Method and, after lots of research, decided to join the CBQ program. She quit “cold turkey” in the middle of the program and has not looked back ever since. In her own words, “I am so proud of this achievement – from being in a place where I thought it would be impossible to now being able to wake up knowing I am now a nonsmoker and can do so much more with my life and feel so much better.”

Since quitting smoking, Val has saved over £17,000. A life-changing amount that keeps growing.

This is what Val posted on our community and her advice for those who are afraid to stop smoking:

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Trevor Starr from Vermont, US celebrated 6 years smoke-free. 6 years! Trevor was no stranger to quit smoking attempts. He wanted to be healthier, but at the same time, smoking was an inseparable part of his life. As Trevor told me, when he came across the CBQ Program, he felt hopeful that it could work. When he started the program, he was still worried about feeling deprived, gaining weight, and failing – but he decided to commit to the process. The result? Trevor quit smoking, completely transformed his life, and lost 35 pounds! He said: “I used to wake up and smoke, then have coffee and smoke, then drive to work and have a smoke. Now, I wake up and exercise every morning, and I love it. I don’t even think about smoking. I love this program, and I’m telling all my smoker friends about it.”

This is Trevor with his CBQ Success Certificate about 1 year after quitting smoking.

6 years after his quit date, Trevor is still a happy nonsmoker. This is what he shared a few days ago:

Inspiring Couple

This week, CBQ Program member Ernesto Castagna from New York, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free. Quitting smoking was a huge accomplishment for Ernesto. After his 1-month milestone, he felt like a champion and got himself a very appropriate (and unique) gift:

Three months after his quit date, his fiancée Faith also quit smoking! Together they took their first vacation as nonsmokers, and this week, they shared this beautiful photo with their CBQ Success Certificates…. from their cruise!

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Angela Battista from Massachusetts, US, who broke a 48-year addiction to nicotine!

Angela’s Tip: Change your thoughts.

“I, like you, tried to quit many times during my 48 years of smoking. With this program and support and my new mindset that smoking is not something I do or enjoy I am working on 8 months. Like you I always had some sort of reason for smoking bored, stressed, habit and it just seemed too hard to quit. I rarely think about smoking now and when I do it is never a positive thought. You can do this.”

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [April 24, 2024]

by Nasia Davos

Haaaappy “Spotlight Day”!

The last Wednesday of April is here, so let’s see some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Today’s theme is “Believe in yourself”

Inspiring Mindset

Today CBQ Program member Courtney Lockburner from New Jersey, US, is celebrating 2 years smoke-free!! After many failed attempts, Courtney decided to commit to the CBQ Program completely. She entered the process with an open mind, chose to believe in herself, and above all, prioritized her quit smoking effort. In her own words “Give yourself the dedicated time for the program. You deserve that.”

Courtney told our community that she quit while putting her dear grandfather to rest. In her first vacation as a non-smoker she encountered tons of triggers and had only 1 craving. Over the last 2 years, she had no withdrawals. This was possible because Courtney finally knew all smoking ever gave her, was guilt and lies.

A couple of weeks ago, Courtney shared that the program is the best thing she’s done for herself.

Tip of The Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Bob Schneider from Alberta, Canada, who quit smoking over a year ago on January 20, 2023! Bob’s story is very inspiring. He smoked his first cigarette when he was 13 years old and remained a smoker for the next 40 years – 23 of those years he was a closet smoker. Bob decided to join the CBQ Program after reading this review, yet he was still apprehensive. But after completing the CBQ Program, Bob succeeded and said that quitting smoking, “was the easiest thing I never thought I could do.”

Bob’s tip: Put your past aside.

“Approach your journey with a open and curious mindset and believe in the process. With an empowering mindset, you will do this! I was just like you, dear, I tried everything too and I started off with doubts as well. Remember Nasia saying to look at it through a different lens? That’s what you need to do and that’s what I did. Put all other quit attempts aside. Start off with some empowering affirmations and positive self-talk and practice saying them to yourself at least a few times everyday. We tend to believe what we tell ourselves and it will help develop the mindset you need to get through this. Take pride in each step you make as you strive for progress over perfection. I can’t wait to see your photo up here holding your success certificate!”

Inspiring Journey

This week, CBQ Program member Shelley Addington from Wisconsin, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!! Shelley was smoking 6 cigarettes a day by herself, yet she felt too addicted. Over the years, she had made 7 serious quit attempts, but eventually returned to smoking. Despite feeling fear, Shelley made the decision to join the CBQ Program. She did her very best and succeeded: “I feel a freedom and sense of confidence, pride, calmness I could not maintain while addicted to nicotine.”

Shelley’s journey to success was not smooth sailing. As she said, “It was not a linear journey to my quit, but was a journey of ups and downs, starts and pauses. I was confident, however, that your program was the thing I needed and that I could count on it to support me through to reaching my goal of being a happy non-smoker.”

3 years later, Shelley is happily smoke-free. What’s more, the last 3 years went by in a flash.

This is the wonderful Shelley with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Inspiring Milestone

This week CBQ Program member Amanda Wheelock from Maine, US, celebrated 5 years smoke-free! 5 whole years!

Amanda said this about quitting smoking: “I just cannot express how much I finally feel like ME!!” and her tip and inspiring words for others were “Dig down as deep as you can and this program can and will be life changing!! I also dropped 7 pounds as an added bonus and my eating habits changed as my smoking did. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!”

This is Amanda with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [April 17, 2024]

by Nasia Davos

Happy “Spotlight Day”! This Wednesday we’re shining the spotlight on this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community… and you’re going to looove today’s stories!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Program member Michelle Warnock from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!! 3 years ago, Michelle was worried about how she’d relieve stress without cigarettes, and could not imagine life without smoking. After struggling to quit on her own, Michelle found the CBQ Method and decided to join the CBQ program. She thought she had nothing to lose, and she was right: She quit!

3 years later, she is still cherishing and loving her smoke-free life.

CBQ Program member Michelle Warnock is still smoke-free after 3 years.

Inspiring Transformation

Yesterday, CBQ Program member Marjorie Ayala from Arizona, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free! Marj had tried to quit smoking before but nothing worked. She then joined the CBQ Program and even then – her fear caused her to restart the program many times without completing it. Once she committed to finishing the program she was a non-smoker. In her own words, “If I can do it, you can. It’s all about mind set!! Thank Nasia for the program. And all those things in the videos that really struck me and were brutally honest even if I didn’t want them to be.”

1 year later, Marj is healthier than ever and so happy with her decision!

“A success story and forever smoke free. I have been running half marathons and feel better then ever! I looked at smoking as a reward. But actually the reward is not smoking.”

This is Marj with her CBQ Success Certificate:

Tip of The Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Tim Roberts from Queensland, Australia, who has been a happy non-smoker since July 8, 2022! Since quitting smoking, Tim shared with our members that he used the CBQ Program to also change his relationship with food, and with a simultaneous change in diet, he lost 28kg (60 pounds)!

Tim’s Tip: Change how you see yourself.

“For me the program worked when I understood I could see myself as a non smoker instead of a deprived smoker. This simple concept of seeing myself this way enabled me to think positively about stopping as opposed to negatively thinking I was depriving myself. I know it sounds simple and in some ways it is, but for me once I started to see myself this way I was able to see a future without cigarettes and it enabled me to still the craving mind.”

Tip of the Week by Tim Roberts

Behind The Scenes

This is me preparing to send this week’s CBQ Success Certificates to our members! Behind each and every one of those certificates is a story; a story of someone who once thought breaking free from nicotine was hard or downright impossible, and now they’re celebrating their success.

These certificates went to our members in the UK, US, Canada, & Australia who quit smoking, vaping, and chewing tobacco. Congratulations to all of our members!
