Happy “Spotlight Day”! Today I’m excited to share with you this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community. Let’s dive in!
Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Program member Teri Edge from West Virginia, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free. Teri smoked for 44 years and made many quit attempts. As she told me herself, she tried hypnosis (both in individual and group settings), quit smoking apps, the American Heart Association, and more!
After coming across the CBQ Program online, she knew it was something different and wanted to give it a shot. Despite feeling afraid and doubtful, she followed the program to the letter, and the rest is history. Not only she succeeded, she also found quitting smoking EASY!
Teri is simply amazing! You can watch her sharing her story of how she quit smoking with the Cognitive Behavioral Quitting (CBQ) Program and the tips that helped her change her relationship with smoking for good.
Inspiring Transformation
This week, CBQ Program member Bob Schneider from Alberta, Canada, shared his weight loss transformation with our community. Bob quit smoking with the CBQ Program on January 20, 2023 (nearly 2 years ago) and decided to upgrade his life even more by losing weight and changing his relationship with sugar. Bob was successful, and his transformation is nothing short of inspiring.
Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Valerie Bennet from England, UK, who has been smoke-free for 5 years and 5 months. Since quitting smoking with the CBQ Program, Valerie has avoided 69,000 cigarettes!
Her tip: Take it one step at a time
“40 a day for 40 years – i was the person who was like you attached to a cigarette – vey rare not to have on in hand or mouth – then i came upon CBQ – now 5 years and 5 months later i have not had a single puff – not a single cigarette has been in my hand nor my mouth – do you know how many cigarettes that is – that i have NOT had – in fact i have just checked my app and it is more than 69,000 cigarettes that i havent smoked — you will wake up one day and just not have one for that morning – or for that day and then the next day you will do the same – take it one hour at a time – i am an “ask an ex” on a video my story is there – maybe it will help—- from one chain smoker to another – you can do it…….. – trust in the system and do it……….. best wishes”
And as always, I want to say a huge thank you to our amazing CBQ Program members who have given me permission to share their stories!
