Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!
Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.
Let’s dive in!
Inspiring Milestone
Today, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Carol Poste from Ontario, Canada, celebrates 4 years smoke-free!
Carol was a smoker for nearly 50 years and suffered from chronic pain. For years, she used smoking as a pain relief until she learned that smoking was making her chronic pain worse! Carol shared that her surgeon told her, “that my spine disks have deteriorated from smoking all these years!!!” With the stress and pressure of an upcoming spine surgery, Carol started looking for ways to quit smoking. After assessing all her options, she decided to join the CBQ Program, and the rest is history!
After 4 years, she is still a happy non-smoker!
This is what Carol recently shared with our community:

Inspiring Transformation
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Valerie Bennett from England, UK, is celebrating 7 years smoke-free!
Val’s transformation has been inspirational, to say the least. She used to smoke two packs a day for 40 years. As she told me during our Ask An Ex interview, she didn’t get out of bed in the morning before smoking two cigarettes with her coffee.
One day, while browsing Facebook, Val came across the CBQ Method and, after lots of research, decided to join the CBQ program. She quit “cold turkey” during the program because she just didn’t want to smoke anymore and has not looked back ever since. In her own words, “I am so proud of this achievement – from being in a place where I thought it would be impossible to now being able to wake up knowing I am now a nonsmoker and can do so much more with my life and feel so much better.”
7 years later, Val is still a happy non-smoker!

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Ashley Schmitt from Colorado, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free!
Ashley wanted to quit smoking so she could feel free. After months of trying different methods and tools to help her quit, she felt stuck. But despite the setbacks, Ashley remained determined to break free.
After learning about the CBQ Method, she decided to try the CBQ Program to quit smoking. As she worked through the program and connected with the support community, she began to understand that smoking was an emotional attachment and a craving that could never be satisfied, and she learned to break this attachment. She stayed committed even through difficult moments in her life, and on May 3rd at 9:07 PM, Ashley took her last puff and has remained smoke-free since.
This is what Ashley said on her 2-year milestone about her journey:
“As of May 3rd I have officially been QUIT for 2 years. I love the support group they have on Facebook. My reasons for quitting were freedom and air to breathe. This program even made me interested in traditional cognitive behavioral therapy because its such an interesting method. Thank you again Nasia!”

4 years later, Ashley is still a happy non-smoker!

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Scott Hanson from Illinois, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!
Before Scott started his quit journey, he made a promise to himself: he would use the money saved from smoking to buy a new guitar. He took it as a challenge, but after joining the CBQ Program, he was surprised by how easy quitting felt. As he shared, “It has been no where near as hard as I thought it would be. It was actually very easy to stop smoking.“
Just a few months after quitting, Scott rewarded himself with not just one but two guitars!
As he shared, “Two really good things from quitting. One, overall I am healthier and two, the money I have saved has allowed me to buy two new guitars. Thanks to everyone for the support. The CBQ program is great.”
Three years later, Scott remained smoke-free!

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Barb DiNezza from New York, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!
After years of trying different ways to quit without success, Barb started to believe that maybe quitting wasn’t possible for her. And when she learned about the CBQ Program, she didn’t expect another quit-smoking method to work differently from everything else she had already tried. Still, she decided to give it a chance, and while she’s doing the program, Barb decided to take her time to fully absorb the information and understand each step in the process.
One of the biggest changes for Barb after quitting wasn’t just becoming smoke-free but realizing how much her mindset had changed. In her own words, “Even being under a lot of stress this past week I knew having a butt would do nothing to make me feel better, unlike the past.”
This is what Barb shared about her journey:
“Smoke free now for over a year. It doesn’t cross my mind anymore to smoke. Even when I am having life challenges. I doubled the time doing the program. I definitely think that helped so I could absorb all the information that was there. Thank you Nasia for the CBQ program.”

After 3 years, Barb is still a happy non-smoker! This is what she shared recently:

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Kimberly Trager from Louisiana, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free!
Kimberly smoked for 50 years, and over time, she began to recognize that smoking was only contributing to her anxiety instead of calming it. Ready to make a change, she began researching ways to quit smoking and discovered the CBQ Program. She decided to join and commit to the process.
She hasn’t had one single puff since she completed the program. As she shared, “My cravings are just fleeting thoughts, which is helping me more than I expected in not lighting up. Thank you for this program. I’m finally smoke-free after over 50 years!!!!”

6 months later, Kimberly is a proud, happy non-smoker!
