Happy “Spotlight Day”! Today I’m excited to share with you this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community… plus, a new and special invite.
Let’s dive in.
Inspiring Member: Smoke-free After 50 Years
This week, CBQ Program member Linda Edlund from Pennsylvania, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free. Linda broke a 50-year addiction after trying literally everything to quit: SmokeEnders, willpower, hypnosis, lozenges, you name it.
Linda felt the CBQ Program was her last chance, yet she truly believed it would work. She was right. It did work!
This is Linda with her CBQ Success Certificate:
Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Marilou Russo from Arizona, US, who has been a happy non-smoker since June 22, 2021. Nearly 3 years ago, when Marilou was approaching her quit date, she got into a full-blown panic. Here’s how she handled it and ended up being successful:
Marilou’s tip: Panic is a sign to prepare better.
“I worked my way through the program, setting my quit date targeted for the program. Low and behold, I get to the quit date, I go into a FULL blown panic!!!! I moved my quit date a few days, reviewed some of the courses. Ta da!!!! Accomplished, SUCCESSFULLY!!! I have been smoke-free coming up on 3 years this June (I think it’s 3!! Times flying). My only regret? Not finding CBQ sooner. You’ve got this, don’t let the addiction control you, you control the addiction.”
Inspiring Story
This week, CBQ Program member Stan Spadoni from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 6 months vape-free! Stan was a smoker who transitioned to vaping. When he decided to quit vaping, he realized just how addicted he was and could not quit for more than a couple of weeks. After searching for a solution, Stan came across the CBQ Program, decided to join, and the rest is history. He has not looked back!
Stan’s biggest inspiration? His adorable 4-year-old daughter!

As always, I want to say a big thank you to all our members who gave me permission to share their stories.
Special Invite: Join the FREE CBQ Better Mental Health Challenge
A few days ago, during a (rare) sunny day in London, I was taking a walk while reading some of your comments and emails. Apart from quitting smoking and vaping, many of you are asking me questions related to mental health, emotional management, and generally how to live healthier and happier lives.
I truly believe our mental health determines the quality of our lives and how successful we are in any goal – quitting smoking, reducing stress, even losing weight.
So, there and then, I decided to create something that could help the entire CBQ community:
The 30-Day Challenge for Better Mental Health “Transform Your Mind, Transform Your Life”.
(In fact, I ran home and recorded the first video.) As a psychologist, I created this challenge to help you enhance your mental well-being, whether you’re breaking a habit or want to feel better in your life…and I will be doing the challenge with you!
So today, I want to invite you to hop on the challenge and join me.
How it works: Each day, we’ll focus on a simple yet powerful tip that will help you develop the tools to live a healthier and happier life.
Just follow @cbqmethod on Instagram, where I post daily videos of the challenge.
(Each daily video is around 1 minute long, so you can follow this challenge even if you’re busy.)
This is Day 1/30:
After watching the first video, comment and let me know if you’ll join me on the challenge.
See you there!
