Happy “Spotlight Day”!
I’m excited to share with you the best parts of this week: new videos, helpful tips, and the most inspiring success stories from the CBQ community.
Let’s dive in.
Inspiring Milestone
This week, Veteran Mike Miller from New York, US celebrated 5 years smoke-free! Mike smoked his first cigarette at 12 years old and continued to smoke for the next 50 plus years. After many failed attempts to break free, he started worrying that nothing would ever work. As Mike shared with me during his Ask An Ex interview, this is what motivated him to quit:
One day, he received a letter from his granddaughter asking him to quit smoking, and that was the moment he decided to make another attempt. He researched and joined the CBQ Program, took his time in the process, and quit. Five years later, he’s still a happy non-smoker and even though his wife and many of their friends smoke, he’s never been tempted.
This is Mike with his success certificate.
Tip of the Week: Make yourself number one in your own life!
This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Paula Torke from Texas, US who went back and forth with smoking almost all her life.
She tried using willpower, but it didn’t work. She spent $500 on quit smoking medication, but that didn’t work either. Then Paula chose to do the CBQ Program, and not only it worked – it’s been 3 freeing years since her quit!
This is what Paula shared:
Inspiring Milestone
This week, our wonderful CBQ Program member Sue Lee from England, UK celebrated 4 years smoke-free! Sue broke a 40-year addiction after many failed attempts.
Sue had a very strong behavioral attachment to smoking. She shared that she was “the worst kind” of smoker… “first thing in the morning last thing at night. If I could smoke in the bath I would have…”
She decided to gift herself the CBQ Program, started watching the process with a mix of fear and excitement, and followed every step at her own pace.
The result?
She finally broke free!
On her 3-year milestone, Sue still can’t believe how easy it was!
4 years after her quit date, Sue is still a happy non-smoker
As always, a big thank you to all our members who shared their stories! I hope this week’s spotlights inspired you and showed you that you too can succeed.
All the best,
Nasia
