Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!
In this week’s spotlight, you’ll find inspiring some of the most inspiring success stories from the CBQ community to help you on your journey.
Let’s dive in!
Inspiring Success: 6 Years Vape-Free
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Rohit Chawla from California, US, celebrated 6 years vape-free! Rohit was a smoker who switched to vaping as a healthier alternative. But after years of vaping, he got even more addicted, vaped constantly, and desperately wanted to break free. He tried to quit many times, but nothing changed his relationship and habit with his vape. He was worried he would be too stressed and too deprived without it.
His doctor prescribed him nicotine replacement and Wellbutrin, but this still didn’t change Rohit’s habit and associations with vaping. That’s why he decided to join the CBQ Program.
After doing every step in the program, Rohit broke free for good!
In our Ask An Ex interview, Rohit shared how he broke the habits that kept him vaping. He also reflects on how becoming vape-free gave him more time, confidence, and freedom to focus on his health.
Rohit’s transformation didn’t stop there. 4 years after quitting vaping, he joined the CBQ Food Freedom Program to improve his relationship with food. Since then, Rohit has released 30 pounds!
6 years after quitting vaping, Rohit is still happy, healthy, and nicotine-free! He has also saved $32,862!

Inspiring Success
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Jack Pendell from Pennsylvania, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free.
A smoker for 46 years, Jack never believed he could actually quit. He felt too addicted. He enjoyed smoking. It was his companion.
But after attending a CBQ masterclass, Jack decided to join the CBQ program. As a truck driver who spent most of his time on the road, he was able to adapt the program to his routine. On day 10 of the program, he smoked his last cigarette.
This is what Jack said:
“I’m completely amazed that by simply doing all that I had time to do has caused a quit like I’ve never experienced before. If I had time and hands free ability to do all that Nasia gives us to do, it may have worked a little better for me, meaning that I may have forgotten that I ever even smoked at all. As a truck driver doing all of the exercises given is impossible, but I vowed to myself at the beginning that I would pay close attention to the videos and do as much as I can. In doing that I’ve found it more pleasurable and sustainable than any time I quit by “willpower” in the past.
What I’ve experienced is simply amazing. For those who think you can’t, this is a 58yo fella who smoked for 46 years. (Pack a day give or take) If this old truck driver can do it, ANYONE CAN!”
This is how Jack thinks about smoking now:

4 years after his quit date, Jack is still a happy non-smoker! This is Jack with his CBQ Freedom Certificate:

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Yvonne Hunziker from Geneva, Switzerland, celebrated 7 years smoke-free!
After joining the CBQ Program, Yvonne completed the exercises, and quit smoking on October 27, 2019. On the very first day of her quit, she faced a situation that would have made her want to smoke in the past, but this time, she didn’t feel the need to have “just one.” That experience helped her feel confident about staying smoke-free, whatever life brought her way!
7 years later, Yvonne is still a happy non-smoker! This is Yvonne with her CBQ Freedom Certificate:

Inspiring Success: 5 Years Smoke-Free
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Karla Ureña from Jalisco, Mexico celebrated 5 years smoke-free!
For years, Karla felt too attached to smoking and every attempt ended in relapse. She feared that she would turn into someone she didn’t recognize, and spend every waking moment craving cigarettes.
But after attending a CBQ Masterclass, she decided to join the CBQ program and try to quit one more time.
Despite feeling fearful and hopeful at the same time, Karla did all the steps, and smoked her last cigarette on day 10 of the program.
“I am so grateful for the CBQ program. It has helped me quit and understand so many things about my behavior, thoughts, emotions, and personality. I haven’t smoked nicotine since and will never do it again”
5 years later, Karla is still a happy non-smoker!
Karla recently joined me in this Ask an Ex interview to share her story on how she quit for good, how she manages stress as a non-smoker, and her advice for anyone struggling to quit smoking.
I hope today’s spotlight inspired you and helped you see that you can create your own success story, too. A big thank you to our members for giving me permission to share their stories.
To your freedom,
