CBQ Spotlights

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [May 13, 2026]

Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community.

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Commitment

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Paula Gibson from Ontario, Canada, celebrated 3 years smoke-free. Paula broke a 45-year addiction and completely transformed her relationship with smoking.

When she was 4 months smoke-free, she lost her beloved mom, and despite the grief and stress that came with this loss, Paula never turned to smoking because, as she shared, she had completely reprogrammed her mind. Paula knew smoking would do nothing to help her.

3 years later, she’s still a happy non-smoker! This is what Paula recently shared about her quit-smoking journey:

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Dory Johnson from Colorado, US, celebrated 5 years nicotine-free! Dory started using the nicotine gum while trying to quit smoking. Instead of breaking free, she remained addicted to the nicotine gum for 14 years. For 14 years, Dory promised herself she’d quit but kept on chewing.

5 years ago, Dory came across the CBQ Program and decided to join. This changed everything for her. “CBQ Method turned my world upside down. This method steps, were uncoiling a matrix of thoughts, beliefs, shames, traumas, faux rewards, smoke and mirrors and really really altering my body’s bio-chemistry. She went in at each angle to help me unhook my relationship to nicotine.”

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Erin Langan from Pennsylvania, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free!

Erin was convinced she would never quit smoking, let alone feel content or happy without it! But she never lost hope. While searching online for other ways to quit, she came across the CBQ Program. What immediately caught her attention was that this program was based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which she knew worked. So she decided to join the CBQ Program, followed every step, and quit on day 10!

This is what Erin shared about her journey on her 2-year milestone:

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Heidi Mosher from Vermont, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free!

Before learning about the CBQ Program, Heidi had already gone through failed quit attempts, using different solutions but mostly relying on sheer willpower. After going through the CBQ program, she finally realized how ineffective willpower is. As she said, “WP [Willpower] feels like a pressure cooker with a timer. It eventually denies you, and you become stressed and even more resentful. And… you eventually fail. Oh. And WP is temporary. I’ve learned this lesson many times.”

On her 6-month milestone, Heidi shared her story:

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Julie Johnson from Florida, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!

Julie had quit smoking more times than she could count over the last 40 years. She tried different quit smoking methods: willpower, prayer, hypnosis, TBX Free, Chantix, etc. She’d quit for some time, but eventually fell back to the same habit after having “just one cigarette”.

One morning, her husband told her, “It’s all in your head.” That conversation sent her to a Google search, and that’s when she came across a video about the CBQ Program. Almost immediately, she knew that this approach was different from what she had already tried. She signed up for the CBQ Program, followed every step, and finally broke free from the cycle for good!

This is what she shared on her 1-year milestone:

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Michelle Blalock from California, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free!

Michelle smoked her first cigarette when she was a teenager and continued smoking for 22 years. In the past, she described cigarettes as “the only constant, the only thing reliable in my chaotic life.” Or at least, that’s what she believed for years.

After reaching a painful breaking point, she said to herself that if she was going to walk away with something good that year, it would be her freedom from smoking. And that decision led her to the CBQ Program.

In the beginning, doing the program wasn’t easy for Michelle, but as she continued, she said, “Instead of saying goodbye to cigarettes, I realize that I am saying “hello” to the real me who’s yet to be revealed. She is someone who loves and cares about herself with the kind of love that transcends circumstances and past experiences.”

That realization didn’t stop with smoking. She later joined the CBQ Food Freedom Program, where she began healing her relationship with food. Since joining, she lost 17 lbs and can now do 10 pull-ups at a time!

Inspiring Advice

Today, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Brian O’Connell from England, UK, celebrates 3 years smoke-free!

Brian smoked for 50 years, and 3 years ago decided to quit through the CBQ Program. As he shared, “thanks to your programme I am now a non smoker having quit on May 13.”

Brian’s advice: Keep going.

“If you want to stop, you will do it. The first day is the hardest, then the second day is easier, because if you have done the first day, you know that you have the strength to do the second day. When you have 2 days, the third day is easier because you have the mental strength knowing you have done 2 days.”

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Natashia Hosea from Texas, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free!

Natashia smoked for 23 years and almost lost hope in quitting smoking after many tries. Each setback chipped away at her confidence, and she thought that quitting was not in the cards for her. Until one internet browsing led her to the CBQ Program, and she became hopeful again. By day 10 of the program, she is ready to quit and has not had another puff since.

This is Natashia’s journey in her own words during her 2-year milestone:

On her 3-year milestone, Tanya shared: “I couldn’t be happier with the CBQ Method. It’s the only thing that has worked for me to actually stay quit from smoking cigarettes. It’s already been 3 years now and I plan on never going back. Thank you Nasia Davos!”
