Happy “Spotlight Day”! It’s the first Wednesday of June, and I’m excited to share with you some of the best success stories and tips from the CBQ community. This week’s stories are hand-picked to inspire you!
Inspiring Story
This week, CBQ Program member Angela Pinder from England, UK, celebrated 2 years smoke-free! Angela used to smoke 40 to 60 cigarettes a day for 25 years. Every quit attempt, and she’d made so many, ended in total deprivation and misery. After finding the CBQ Program, Angela felt hopeful it could work, so she joined. And even though she remained skeptical until the very end, she succeeded!
When Angela’s mom fell ill and eventually passed away, Angela did not relapse. Instead, she felt proud she was a non-smoker. This is what she shared with our members’ community:
24 months in, Angela is still a happy non-smoker!

Tip of the Week
This week, CBQ Program member Merrick Westlund from Oklahoma, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free… after smoking for 55 years.
Merrick had lots of failed attempts and was convinced he’d remain a smoker until the end of his life. But he proved himself wrong.
Merrick’s tip: Keep at it and don’t give up!
His biggest benefit from quitting smoking? Being able to breathe well enough to play with his grandchildren and dance with his wife. (I tear up every time I read this)

As always, I want to say a big thank you to all our members who gave me permission to share their stories.
