Happy New Year!
On behalf of the entire CBQ Method team, we wish you to thrive in 2025!
May this new year be filled with possibility, release you from old burdens and enrich your life in every way.
To celebrate this new beginning, I can’t wait to share with you this week’s news and most inspiring stories and tips from the CBQ community!
Let’s dive in.
Inspiring Milestone
Yesterday, CBQ Program member Fred Berish from Arizona, US, celebrated 5 years smoke-free!
Fred was a smoker all his life. During his Ask An Ex interview, he shared that he started thinking about quitting when he turned 50 years old, because he wanted to make sure he’s around his family for as long as possible. Trying to quit, Fred used patches, medication and hypnosis but always felt deprived and relapsed because of cravings.
Because of his past failed attempts, Fred was skeptical when he found the CBQ Program, but he decided he would try.
The outcome shocked him. This is what Fred said:
5 years later, he’s still a happy non-smoker!
Inspiring Success
This week CBQ Program member Christine Anne from California, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free! Christine joined the CBQ Program filled with doubt and hope. During the program, she learned the difference between mindpower and willpower, and everything changed for her.
“Thought today was 365 but it appears yesterday marked my 1 full year of being a NON-smoker! I’m so proud of myself and very happy! And I catch myself thinking “this time was so easy I just wish I had figured it out that 1st time I tried to quit!” But better late than never, as the saying goes. I will say the true difference is mind power vs will power and mind power is learning to turn off or stop the thought of wanting a cigarette, willpower is we sit and dwell on the thoughts and just try to resist acting on it, most of us have failed quit attempts because of this. As most of you know I did quit before starting the program due to procrastination, but then started to go through the program looking to help reinforce my quit. Doing so I found out what I had been doing (changing my smoking habits, challenging myself to not smoke at times I smoked the most (like driving) and using my mind to delay or refrain from smoking (I didn’t know it was called mind power then). By learning I could delay or cut out cigarettes from my daily routine and use my mind to stop the thought of smoking from settling into my brain and playing on a loop seriously helped in quitting. And going through most of this program made me see my actions leading up to smoking my last cigarette were exactly what Nasia teaches and has you practice each day in the program. Be kind to yourselves, stay positive, practice each lesson and work on not relying on willpower but mind power to stop and remove your thoughts of wanting to smoke in the moment(s). Practice and keep an open, positive mind frame and remember why you bought the program and just don’t give up on yourselves. You too can become a happy, NON-smoker!”
Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes from CBQ Program member Patty Davis from Florida, US. Patty smoked for 30 years and then vaped for 10 years.
“I was so proud to quit smoking by vaping. After a couple years of vaping, it became just as or more addicting than smoking. I really dug into and took seriously the program. I ended up redoing several days over as I was too scared and not ready to really quit.”
By following the CBQ Program, Patty became ready, and she quit!
“I thank God and the CBQ Method program and all the CBQ workers. Thank you!”
Patty’s tip: Trust the process
“Just take it a day at a time , do everything that course tells you to do. Don’t skip anything, don’t change anything and somehow, miraculously, your mind changes and you’re able to do it.”
A big thank you to all our members who shared their stories!
