CBQ Spotlights

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [September 2, 2026]

Happy “Spotlight Wednesday” and happy September!

I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories from the CBQ community!

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Jim Hamon from Kentucky, US, celebrated 5 years smoke-free!

Jim smoked for 55 years and tried to quit countless times on his own, with apps, and nicotine replacement.

After searching for ways to quit smoking he came across the CBQ Method, and decided to join the program. He did every step and on day 10 of the program, he smoked his last cigarette.

Since quitting smoking, Jim found himself in stressful situations that would once have triggered him to start smoking again but discovered that cigarettes no longer had power over him. He could recognize those triggers, understand what was happening, and move through them without wanting a cigarette.

5 years later, Jim is still a happy non-smoker and has no desire to smoke at all.

Inspiring Transformation

This week, CBQ Program member Danielle Sutherland from New South Wales, Australia, celebrated 5 years smoke-free!

Danielle had smoked for 30 years, sometimes more than 50 cigarettes a day. She had tried hypnotherapy in the past, but the experience left her so overwhelmed by withdrawal that she became hesitant to try quitting again. But the desire to be a non-smoker was still there.

Then Danielle came across the CBQ Method and attended the CBQ Masterclass. She didn’t wholeheartedly believe quitting could really be easy or that the program would work for her, but she wanted to believe it could be different this time. So, she took the leap and joined the CBQ Program with an open mind.

Despite her busy lifestyle and demanding job, Danielle made the program a priority. By setting 30 minutes aside each day, her relationship with smoking changed and she quit!

What followed was a life that felt bigger and more enjoyable. She had more time and money for hobbies and personal projects, and found herself more engaged with her friends and family. Even her son, who expected her to be a grumpy non-smoker, was surprised to discover she was genuinely happy.

A few years after quitting smoking, Danielle realized she wanted that same sense of freedom with food. Although she had always been active and fit, she had wanted to improve her relationship with food for years. Ready to make that change, Danielle joined the CBQ Food Freedom Program. This is what she shared about the experience:

5 years later, Danielle is still a happy non-smoker and continues to cherish the freedom she found after quitting.
