Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!
In this week’s spotlight, you’ll find inspiring success stories and helpful tips from the CBQ community to encourage you on your journey.
Let’s dive in!
Inspiring Milestone
Today, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Chris Waltman from Wisconsin, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free! Chris smoked 1 to 2 packs a day for 35 years and tried quitting dozens of times. But he never stayed smoke-free for more than a month “because it was always a replacement method or just forcing myself to quit. A couple things happened in my life and I was ready to try again. I found the CBQ method online and it looked interesting! I didn’t have anything to lose, so I tried it. WOW!”
4 years after the CBQ Program, Chris has not had a single cigarette!

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Jeannine Woods from Galway, Ireland, celebrated 1 year and 1 month smoke-free!
After smoking for 47 years, Jeannine decided it was time to leave cigarettes behind. She joined the CBQ Program, completed it, and quit smoking.
When Jeannine celebrated 1 year smoke-free, she shared this post, along with a photo of herself holding her CBQ Success Certificate, with our community. (If you know her from our Facebook group, you’ll recognize her there as Jack Miller.)

Inspiring Mindset
This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Timothy Heronemus from Kansas, US, celebrated 6 months smoke-free!
Tim smoked for 50 years and had tried several quit-smoking programs in the past. But he kept getting pulled back in by the thought of having “just one” cigarette. Once he smoked one, he found himself back to full smoking.
After being diagnosed with COPD, Tim knew he couldn’t ignore his health any longer. While looking for ways to quit, he came across YouTube videos about the CBQ Method. And as Tim had shared, “I got very interested in your approach and philosophy.” Wanting to learn more, he attended a CBQ Masterclass and decided to join the CBQ Program.
As Tim worked through the lessons, he realized the problem wasn’t a lack of willpower. It was that he had never changed the beliefs that kept him smoking. Through the program, he learned how to challenge those beliefs, replace them with healthier ones, and start seeing himself as a happy non-smoker. By the time he completed the program, his thinking had changed, and he quit smoking.
This is what Tim shared about his journey:

6 months later, Tim is still a happy non-smoker. This is what Tim shared recently:

After smoking for 45 years, Karin never believed she would be able to quit. Hoping to give quitting one more chance, she searched for a way to stop smoking and came across the CBQ Program.
After joining and completing the program, Karin quit smoking!
When Karin celebrated 3 years smoke-free, she described living free from cigarettes as life-changing. Here’s what she shared about her journey:

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Brianna Rivera from New Mexico, US, celebrated 6 years smoke-free! Brianna had been smoking for 15 years when she decided she wanted to quit before entering her 30s.
When she joined the CBQ Program, she wasn’t sure what to expect. Some parts didn’t seem to make sense right away, but she gave the process a chance and trusted it would all come together. And it did.
After completing the program, Brianna quit smoking and reached her goal before turning 30.
Two years after quitting, Brianna shared that she couldn’t stand the smell of cigarettes anymore. And even when she’s around people who smoke, she has no interest in smoking.
This is what Brianna shared about her journey:

6 years later, Brianna is still a happy non-smoker!

Two days ago, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Beth Markert from Pennsylvania, US, celebrated 7 years smoke-free!
When Beth joined the CBQ Program, she never imagined quitting smoking could feel different. She gave herself a little more time to work through the lessons at her own pace. By the end of the program, she had quit smoking and was amazed at how natural it felt. As she shared, “I never in a million years thought I could walk away from smoking so easily!!”
7 years later, Beth is still a happy non-smoker. This is Beth with her CBQ Success Certificate:

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Layna Joy Rivas from California, US, celebrated 7 years smoke-free!
Layna started smoking at the age of 14 and wasn’t looking to quit. She simply wanted to cut back. While searching for ways to reduce her smoking, she came across my TEDx Talk on quitting smoking and decided to give the CBQ Program a try.
As she worked through the CBQ Program, something unexpected happened. What began as a goal to smoke less gradually became a desire to be completely smoke-free. And by the end of the program, she quit!
When Layna celebrated 2 years smoke-free, she joined me for an Ask An Ex interview to share how quitting smoking became a catalyst for self-growth, what helped her most during the program, and how her life changed after breaking free from cigarettes.

7 years later, Layna is still a happy non-smoker.
