CBQ Spotlights

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [July 8, 2026]

Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!

This week, we’re sharing some of the most inspiring stories and helpful tips from the CBQ community to help you on your journey.

Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Donald Raymond from Michigan, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free.

Don was a smoker for 52 years and had tried everything to quit.

“I’d tried hypnosis (twice), Chantix (twice), acupuncture, cold turkey, the patch, gum, “on my own” (too numerous to count). All failed. After 52 years of smoking 1.5 pks./day, heavy smoking, “no one smokes like I do” smoking, I was almost resigned to the fact that I was doomed to never quit. And all the ugliness that results from that.”

When Don came across the free CBQ Masterclass, what he learned resonated with him, so he decided to join the CBQ Program.

The result? Lasting, powerful, and liberating freedom!

This is his advice: “If YOU believe, and really want to, she makes it almost easy. Follow the program….really LISTEN to her….use the support available, and before you know it, you’re done and FREE of the evil things. Work at a pace for you. Absorb the whole program. Will be the best money you ever spent.”

Inspiring Transformation

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Tim Roberts from Queensland, Australia, celebrated 4 years smoke-free! But Tim’s journey to success had lots of ups and downs.

During our Ask An Ex interview, Tim shared that he smoked his first cigarette when he was 14 years old and smoked on and off for over 50 years. Over the years, he also became addicted to alcohol and food. He was, as he told me, a “perfectionist emotional cripple” and these habits became his go-to coping mechanism. Even though Tim eventually quit alcohol, he could not let go of his cigarettes (a story I know many of you share).

But after joining the CBQ Program, Tim became a happy non-smoker. He didn’t gain any weight after quitting smoking…Instead, he lost 28kg (60 pounds)!

He looks amazing and feels even better. Look at his unbelievable transformation!

This is the tip Tim recently shared with our members:

Freedom is the cure to an addiction that is controlling your life. Once you truly chose freedom and embrace it the rest is just a process of letting go. Just trust yourself to chose freedom, embrace it and feel it, the only thing stopping you from achieving the freedom you crave is yourself.

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member John Skelly from New York, US, celebrated 4 years smoke-free!

After smoking as many as 30 cigarettes a day for 27 years, John had spent years trying to quit. He tried willpower, hypnosis, and other methods, but nothing helped him move past the fear of life without cigarettes.

When John found the CBQ Program, he decided to give it a real try. As he worked through the program, he realized many of the beliefs he held about smoking simply weren’t true. Instead of fearing what he would lose by quitting, he began focusing on everything he would gain.

John’s journey wasn’t perfect. After an initial smoke-free period, he gradually found himself smoking again. But instead of giving up, he went back through the program, revisited the lessons, and kept using what he had learned. After he completed the program, he quit smoking for good.

Now, 4 years later, he’s still a happy non-smoker! This is what he shared about his journey:

Inspiring Mindset

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Dan DeVeronica from New York, US, celebrated 5 years smoke-free!

In the past, Dan had already proven to himself that he could quit smoking. He had gone months, and even a full year, without cigarettes. But whenever life became difficult, he found himself reaching for another pack.

Wanting to break that cycle for good, Dan joined the CBQ Program. As he worked through the lessons, Dan began to understand why he always returned to smoking after difficult moments. That shift in perspective helped him see that cigarettes had never been helping him cope in the first place. By the end of the program, he quit smoking for good.

This is what Dan shared about his journey:

And since quitting, Dan has lost more than 30 pounds, made exercise part of his daily routine, completed his first 5K and 40K bike ride!

I hope today’s stories inspired you and reminded you that change is possible, no matter where you are in your journey. A big thank you to our members for allowing me to share their inspiring stories.
