CBQ Spotlights

Celebrating YOU: This week’s spotlights [May 28, 2025]

Happy “Spotlight Day”!

Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring success stories and tips from the CBQ community!

Inspiring Advice

Barry Orndorff from Maryland, US, found the CBQ Program when he was 68 years old and quit smoking after 55 years. He said:

“I smoked for 55 years, I went through the CBQ system, and I have been a happy non-smoker for 1-1/2 years now. It was easy, and painless. I started the program and 2-1/2 weeks later on my quit date I became a non-smoker again. I say, again because we were all non-smokers before we started to smoke. The program will show you how to rewire your brain and learn how to be a non-smoker again. I hope this helps, and wish you well on your journey with the CBQ Method to stop smoking. Remember we are all here to help and support you in your journey anyway we can. If I can do it, you can to. We have all been where you are, and none of us are any different then you are. Good Luck, You have taken the 1st big step by wanting to get control of your life.”

Barry’s invaluable advice: Your life is worth it.
“As someone who went through the CBQ Method to stop smoking I have learned so much about myself. I have had people (smokers) question me about why I would pay to go through the program to quit smoking. I really don’t look at it like that. After all, how much is your life worth? We will spend money on new cars, toys, vacations, etc., but what good are those things if you can’t enjoy them is good health. I’m so happy I found CBQ when I did.”

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Program member Martina Bionda from Queensland, Australia celebrated 6 months smoke-free! Martina smoked for 25 years then switched to vaping for 10 years. She never tried to quit before because she thought it was impossible.

But then, she found the CBQ Quit Smoking Program, did every step, and she succeeded!

Martina described in a brilliant way how the quit smoking journey was like for her:

Part of the CBQ Quit Smoking Program is replacing smoking with a healthy habit. This is what Martina chose, and she loves it!

Tip

CBQ Program member Andy Huff from Georgia, US, shared with our CBQ Program community this powerful tip.

You trained your brain to smoke. Now you have to retrain it.

“Use the videos to retrain your brain. As Nasia says you trained your brain to smoke. Now you have to train it not to smoke. Follow the lessons and it will work! After 35 years of smoking and now 5 not I’m telling you she knows what’s she’s doing!!”

You can watch Andy why and how he quit smoking in this Ask An Ex episode.
