Happy “Spotlight Wednesday”!
Today, I’m excited to share with you some of this week’s most inspiring tips from the CBQ community.
Let’s dive in!
Tip of the Week
This week’s tip comes from CBQ Quit Smoking Program member Brian Reiswig from Oklahoma, US, who is 26 months smoke-free! Brian smoked for 52 years and broke free!
Brian’s tip: The benefits of freedom outweigh any temporary discomfort. Jump in with both feet!
“I think it’s natural to be apprehensive in telling three people you are working on becoming a nonsmoker. In my case, I had tried and failed so many times before, I felt I had no one left to tell. So I told this group my decision to become a nonsmoker again. You will discover as you go through this program, that we were all nonsmokers before we started down this long ugly road of nicotine addiction. I was on it for over 50 years when I got here. The thing is, with this program I didn’t have to “quit” smoking again. By watching ALL the videos, many times more than once, and doing ALL the exercises to the best of my ability, by the time my Freedom Day came, my brain was already retrained and ready to start a new life. I had my last cigarette ceremony with the only person I knew whom I hadn’t promised I would quit. That was almost 26 months ago and I haven’t used nicotine at all in that time. So, yes, it’s natural to be apprehensive, but the benefits of doing it anyway will far outweigh any temporary discomfort you feel. Jump in with both feet, do everything Nasia tells you to do, no matter if you feel silly doing it, and move forward step by step. You will become a nonsmoker again if you fully commit.”

Inspiring Success
This week, CBQ Quit Smoking Program member Douglas Edwards from California, US, celebrated 1 month tobacco-free! Doug used to smoke 8-10 large cigars daily that felt impossible to quit. But after going through every day of the CBQ Program he started reprogramming his mind. By day 9 of the program he was down to 2 cigars a day and it didn’t feel painful. On day 10, he smoked his last cigar and it’s been easy and freeing!
His tip: Retrain your mind before you quit
This is what Doug shared three days ago with our members group:
I am 28 days nicotine free having gone thru the CBQ Method. Smoked 8-10 large cigars DAILY. I strongly recommend you do the program. The design is really good and helps retrain the unconscious mind. I found the program challenging, demanding honest reflection. It is a wonderful progression learning and letting go to intentionally achieve your goal. And trust me, the cost only helps you commit to the process AND it will pay for itself it little time.

Inspiring Milestone
This week, CBQ Quit Smoking Program member Mike Thomas from Florida, US, celebrated 1 year smoke-free! After smoking for a little over 40 years, Mike tried “acupuncture, cold-turkey, zyban, nicorette, patches and so on, but suffered through each and to no real avail.” Mike was reluctantly looking for a way to quit that wasn’t terribly hard when he came across this program on Facebook. After watching the free masterclass he decided to join the program. He said, “I decided that I should give it a whirl. Again, not whole-hearted in my initial quitting mindset. I’m a 58 year old guy who’s been smoking since I went off to college 40 years ago. I’m smart enough to know the dangers, social negatives, etc., but it was through this program that I could get a grip on my real problem.
My negative relationship with (as my wife called it, my mistress, nicotine) Nikki. Nikki was the wench that seduced me into disappearing from family and social situations, kept me from my sons’ campouts, and created so much anxiety as to when and where I’d meet up with her again that I thought I needed her more! My life, time and relationships were being controlled by that seductress, and I hadn’t realized it! This program helped me to understand the grip and lack of freedom Nikki had over me! Looking back, I feel quite the fool…
When my quit date approached I was a bit worried about how I’d do the first few days, but I was sooooo surprised when after saying goodbye to that nasty-smelling, mind twisting, demon of destruction clearly, I was simply set FREE. No stress. No missing ‘her.’ No looking back. No problem chatting with a buddy smoking a stogie… nothing. Sooooo weird. Soooo freeing. Soooo remarkable.”
Mike’s life has been filled with “situations that would normally have triggered a call to ‘ol’ Nikki! Bam! Nothing! So grateful for this program to be available. For the foresight laid to help so many beat this addiction. Nasia, I thank you! My wife thanks you, my family thanks you, my Doctor thanks you, my dentist thanks you, and everyone who cares for me at all thanks you.”
This is what Mike shared this week with our members community:
Do it! I was a smoker since 1983, and just quit (surprising easily) last November.
I’d tried to quit a zillion ways, and truly wasn’t whole hearted at first this time! Knew I needed to, wife hated it, blah-blah…
This program nailed it! Nikki (my wife’s name for smokes) was done running my life and affecting MY schedule…MY time…MY health…
Follow it. Easy. Interesting. Thought-filled. My last day was like ‘yeah-whatever…I’m done!’
Thrilled. Do it. You’ll be so proud of yourself, and won’t wreak up the house anymore!

To your freedom,
