Let’s dive in!

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Doug Edwards from California, US celebrated 1 year nicotine-free!

Doug smoked 8-10 large cigars daily for 42 years. He tried quitting many times before, but it felt impossible. But after going through every day of the CBQ Program he started reprogramming his mind. By day 9 of the program he was down to 2 cigars a day and it didn’t feel painful. On day 10, he smoked his last cigar and it’s been easy and freeing!

1 year later, Doug is still a happy non-smoker! This is what he shared about his journey:

Inspiring Milestone

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Angela Shetters from Georgia, US, celebrated 3 years smoke-free! Angela spend 16 years trying to quit smoking and wishing it was easier to quit. One of her biggest fear about quitting smoking was socializing without cigarettes. She was worried she would be tempted and not be able to have fun without them.

After trying to quit on her own many times, Angela found the CBQ Masterclass and decided to join the program and give herself the best chance at success.

To her surprise, she found quitting “effortless”

This is what Angela said:

“First I just want to say a huge thank you to Nasia for coming up with the CBQ method and also the amazing people that are a part of her team. Not only was I effortlessly able to quit smoking but I also learned so much about my thought patterns and habits.”

Angela’s biggest test came when it was time to socialize with other smokers.

“When I went to a small gathering at some family’s house, everyone there was smoking and I was even offered one and easily turned it down. This feels like a huge accomplishment for me! I have been a little nervous about social situations but now I am relieved that it was so easy.

I love the program I learned so much on ways to be mindful in many areas of my life so thank you for that! And showing me all the tools on how to live a happy smoke free life!! So amazing!!”

Inspiring Success

This week, CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Maseyree Mitchell from Georgia, US celebrated 1 year smoke-free! She smoked her first cigarette when she was 10 years old and continued smoking for 40 years.

Over the years, Masey tried many ways to quit, searching for something that would work. In her search, she found the CBQ Program and decided to join. What made the difference this time wasn’t just another attempt to quit, but a deeper understanding of herself. During the program, she had a realization: “This program helped me to realize that I have issues with being alone. I think that is what led me to smoking in the first place.“

Everything shifted after that. Masey was no longer fighting to quit smoking. She was addressing the root cause of it. In her own words, “What I enjoyed most about the CBQ method is that it gives you a countdown to quitting. By the time your quit date arrives, you’re actually ready. And it’s true—I’ve had little to no urges or withdrawals. No anger, no agitation, no constant thoughts about smoking. I truly feel free. Even when I notice my thoughts starting to shift, I’m able to stop them and move on with my day. I’ve learned how to redirect my thinking, and that has been life-changing.”

And this time, it stuck!

On her 6-month milestone, Masey shared her story in this review:

Tip of the Week

This week’s tip comes from CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Christian Bakke from Nevada, US, who quit smoking on November 20, 2025 after smoking for 46+ years.

Christian’s Quit Smoking Tip: Enter the process with a blank slate

“I would clear my mind of any preconceived ideas on how to quit and/or what has and has not worked for you in the past. Enter the whole process with a “blank slate” and absorb the program detail and lessons with a mindset of Curiosity, Anticipation/Excitement. Stay consistent in your lessens and follow the program as prescribed. And, for any anxiety and fear? Let that feed your desire to quit. You got this. See you on the other side.”

Tip of the Week

Another tip this week comes from CBQ Nicotine Freedom Program member Randy Moss from California, US, who recently celebrated being 3 months smoke-free!

Randy’s Quit Smoking Tip: A cigarette doesn’t make the stress go away

“I quit at a very stressful time also. Just remind yourself that smoking a cigarette doesn’t make the stress go away. It just adds to it. It’s great that you don’t want to start smoking again. I went through cravings the first week but never wanted to have a cigarette. You can do this. Use your mind power and all the tools you have learned, particularly your plan you made on day 10.”
